I was surprised by how much traffic Tumblr gets.

I have been posting again on an old tumblr page and am seeing greater engagement than usual. Perhaps it's not as dead as it's claimed to be.

tumblr monthly traffic is very very low - around 100m or less .

That's actually not surprising, there's been a quiet comeback lately, especially with people getting tired of algorithm-heavy platforms.

It's far from dead, if your content fits the audience, engagement can still be excellent.

Tumblr is definitely not dead. It still has over 135 million active users every month, mostly Gen Z and Millennials. If you post consistently in niche tags or fandoms, the community is highly active and ready to reblog.

That I have noticed as well. Blog on Tumblr that has existed for a while seems to have more reach compared to those that were just made.

People call it dead just because it is not in the news, but the core community never left. If you are getting good engagement, it means you hit a specific subculture or tag that is still very passionate and active today.

Millions of young users are logging back in to find real text and unique art away from ads. Focus on reblogging others and posting daily to quickly get new people clicking your links.

THIS! Ai has swamped the internet. Many are treating such places as time capsules of some sort.

With 95 million users Tumblr is not dead, however, you need to be strategic on your marketing as most of its users are millennials and gen z, who hate being spammed to death with pitches.

There are still vibrant communities on Tumblr, but only if you have chosen the correct niche. It seems that older blogs tend to be more successful than new ones.

It's underrated in 2026, while it's smaller than before, niche audiences remain highly engaged.

If you know how to create the right kind of content, Tumblr can still generate excellent engagement. The key is to understand the platform and choose a content strategy that's well suited to its audience and culture.

That is a good sign. I think many people ignore Tumblr these days, which can actually make it easier to stand out if you are posting the right content.

I think Tumblr is underrated. It may not be as mainstream as before, but niche content still performs well and can bring steady traffic.

Tumblr still has a large and active user base. I think it's a fairly promising platform for supporting marketing and promotional campaigns.

Tumblr is far from being as dead as it may be said to be in the proper niches. Older accounts tend to have an edge since they already have an established reputation and a follower base.
