Facebook Messenger stopped loading on my pc, do you experience service outage at your end? Downdetector made a post about FB messenger having issue since 9:53AM EDT

My location is unaffected; everything is normal, and Facebook is still working perfectly.
 
Did that happen? I didn't realize there was something wrong with me today. Maybe your internet connection is unstable?
 
Yes, it was malfunctioning just now, but it's working normally again now.

In the meantime, you can try clearing your browser cache, switching to the mobile app/m.facebook.com, or using a proxy/VPN to route your connection through a different server node where the web interface is still operational.
 
My connection is working perfectly. Please check your internet connection.
 
maybe facebook shut down a few days ago, I don't remember exact time. now, everything is alright. please try again.
 
There have been a spike in reports of Facebook Messenger issues today with many users experiencing loading and messaging problems especially on the web version.
 
Maybe it’s just a temporary one. Or if it works on your phone but not on your computer, maybe you should clear your browser cache or use a different web browser first,
 
Doesn’t look like just your computer but an issue with Messenger as Downdetector shows peaks. Would advise waiting a little and checking it out using the mobile version or some other browser
 
Yeah, it looks like it's affecting a lot of people right now. If Downdetector is showing a spike, it's probably a temporary outage on Meta's side, so hopefully it'll be back to normal soon.

Nonetheles, I ensure I verify that other people are facing the same issue before doing anything about it. If it is an issue from the platform side, then there is no way to solve it in the browser it is up to meta to fix the problem.
 
now, I see facebook message is still normal and has no error. have you tried again yet?

i had such an experience today myself. the loading speed of the appliication was very slow nd certain functions did not work as exppected. in case downdetector reports numerous problems at once there is a high probability that the problem lies outside ur computer. i would advise waiting until meta resolves this issue.

Yes it was mailfunctioning yesterday, now it's fine though.
 
I noticed some users reporting issues too, so it could be a temporary outage. If Downdetector is showing a spike, it's probably best to wait a bit and check again later.
