Honestly, it’s still a good time, travel content isn’t going away, but the game’s changed. Generic “top 10 places to visit” posts are oversaturated, so what works now is a specific angle: solo travel on a budget, travel with kids, slow travel in one region, food-focused trips, whatever you actually know well. SEO alone is harder because of AI search results, so a lot of successful travel bloggers now lean on Pinterest, Reels, or a newsletter to drive traffic instead of just Google. Wouldn’t call the opportunity gone, just narrower, niching down and being consistent for a year or so is really what separates the ones who make it.
