How many accounts is ideal to keep on one Phone

I would say 1 per device to keep it safe, but there are other factors you should consider as well, make sure you don't upvote/comment each others posts think that's a big red flag..

You can use two or three different Reddit accounts on the same phone, as long as those accounts remain in good standing. However, if one of them gets banned, the others may also be affected.

Ok got it. I just bought a phone farming device with 20 phones installed.
I own a household appliance company so my idea is to promote my product.
What I will do is using these 20 accounts to post things like "Shall I buy ...", "My experience of brand xxxx".
But I won't comment using 20 accounts each time. I think I need to randomize which accounts to engage with each other.

Also I think I shall engage in other irrelevant subreddits just to give more of a "real" human profile. rather than someone who only post about my household appliance brand

Keeping many accounts on one phone increases the risk if they are all used for upvoting each other and coordinated commenting. Instead of focusing on the number of accounts per device, focus on making each account look like a normal user would be helpful. What I believe is that the main factor is account behavior quality, not just the phone count.
