My website completely disappeared for our main keyword during the Google update month - what to do?

Hey

So we had a website in the gambling nisch that had a good position in google for our our main keyword, but during June, it disappeared fast from #3 to space, its still in google i can see when i make the (site search and its reciving some clicks but just cant see from where?

What could i do know to hopefully get it back to its orginal postion?, no errors or anything shows up in GSC either ?

If the page is still indexed and GSC shows no issues, I’d compare your page with the new top-ranking competitors. Core updates often change how Google evaluates content rather than indicating a technical problem. Improving content quality, internal linking, and overall topical relevance is usually a better approach than making drastic changes. Has the drop affected only that keyword or your entire site?

The exact same thing happened to some of my sites. If a high authority competitor uses the exact same content, then Google kicks your webpage out of SERPs. Duplicate or AI-generated content issues are huge and quickly filtered out after June spam update. You should check the current top-ranking sites to see if content quality is the issue.
