tired of getting copyright letters

I have a website that contains 2000 pages. on average each page contains 2 images. call me an idiot but when I was making the website I'd just go to google images and steal someone's photo. now I am getting letters from law firms and getting tired of it. what I am wondering is if I install cloudflare, will that help reduce these letters? I am thinking cloudflare blocks bots from visiting your website by presenting them with a "checking your browser" captcha thing, so these copyright bots will not be able to visit the website and therefore will not catch these photos?
other than that, what else can I do? how the hell am I supposed to go through 2000 pages and make sure the images are not copyrighted? let's simplify the problem. forget 4000 images. how do I even know if a single image is copyrighted or free to use?

Cloudflare won't stop copyright claims. If you don't have permission to use the images, the safest option is to replace them with properly licensed or original ones. It'll save you a lot of headaches in the long run.

I'd start with the pages that get the most traffic and replace those images first It may take time but it's a practical way to tackle the problem

Why you don't try to replenish that images and not with others not related but edit those images little with the AI and should be like new even though may be very similar

I know it's a pain, but my 2 cents on what I would do if i was in your place is, option 1 host the images on offshore server but only the images like alexhost for example, or/and option 2 get each image uploaded to ChatGPT (you need pro account) and tell it to remake it (you can use there api to mass-change images if you have a good prompt)

2 actually useful ideas that i had not considered. this is in contrast with all the useless replies "dont use copyrighted photos" no shit
so host the images on offshore server, and tell the law firms we are not hosting these images, we are just hotlinking? I will have to look into how to accomplish this in wordpress. seems like a lot of work.

You can buy a cheap domain and show them the images are hosted by that domain, not you, etc ...

Cloudflare won’t stop copyright complaints because image trackers can still find your photos.The only real fix is replacing images that you don’t have permission to use.Any image taken from Google Images should be considered copyrighted unless proven otherwise.For 4,000 images, start with your most popular pages and replace them gradually.Use your own images, licensed stock photos, or images with clear free-use rights.
