I keep seeing people constantly saying that factory reset has some effect on tiktok accounts getting banned or having low views..

Has anyone actually gotten better results with having their phones factory reset (iphones specifically)? I have tested this with 100+ accounts on different phones and this almost always has no effect on the performance...

A factory reset by itself never made a noticeable difference for me content and account behavior seem to matter far more.

A factory reset is more like a placebo, to me. A factory reset may remove some local information, but the indicators for TikTok are much more important, which include your account’s history, behavior, quality of content, and many other factors.
If 100+ tests proved otherwise, then I would definitely trust the data over someone's random words.

It cannot make a difference, TikTok fingerprints your SIM card number so a pure factory reset is sending an even worse signal: they now know (through multiple resets in quick succession) that you are trying to bypass their fingerprinting but you can detect you.

I never saw factory resetting make any real difference. If an account does well or gets low views, it's usually something else, not whether the phone was reset.

Exactly i aslo have not seen any effect that a factory reset improves account performance. From my experience content quality, account behavior and overall trust signals have bigger impact on views than resetting the device.

A factory reset may remove some local data, but it doesn't solve issues like poor content, low engagement, or policy problems.

Thanks for the input everyone, I also felt the same way. I saw that even if I had chainban on a device - I could still just delete the app, re-install and make a new account to get views. Looks like factory reset is just a myth or it was relevant like months ago.
