I'm looking into different web hosting providers and would love to hear some real experiences.
If you were starting a new website today, which host would you choose and why? What features or support made you stick with them?
Looking forward to hearing your recommendations for someone just starting out

BHW has a great selection of reliable hosting providers with clear marketplace guidelines. I’d recommend checking out the Hosting section here, you’ll find plenty of trusted providers to choose from. If any issues arise, BHW’s dispute system can help resolve them fairly.

For shared hosting, it’s not just the amount of disk space that matters, but also the performance of the entire infrastructure. Using NVMe SSDs speeds up the file system and databases, while daily backups provide an additional layer of data protection. It’s also helpful to be able to choose between cPanel and DirectAdmin, depending on which administration tools you’re used to. This is exactly the approach implemented at hostpro.com.

There is not the best host you can choose digital ocean this is what i use and i think is worth it simply because is having better speed and the space is enough for me

Digital ocean like @pyddenahisa said is solid for speed but it might be a bit much if you arent used to managing servers. if you are just starting out and want something plug and play, maybe look at some of the smaller nvme shared hosts in the marketplace here. just stay away from bluehost and hostgator... they always slow down to a crawl once you start getting some real traffic.

My advice is don't look into the technical specifications only.
Equally, if not more important is the contract / support / business / legal conditions.

And the ability to support your growth in the future, when you need to upgrade as your traffic and requirements grow.

I'd generally stay away from any "too good to be true" sounding type of a deal, which usually results in an auto-renewed contract at a much higher price point, and a lot of small print.

yeah stay far away from bluehost and those other big brands owned by newfold digital... they just buy up decent hosts and cram too many sites on one server. if you are just starting out and dont want to deal with command line stuff on digitalocean, look for a smaller host that runs litespeed. litespeed cache is a lifesaver for wordpress and makes cheap shared hosting actually usable. some of the boutique hosts in the marketplace here are pretty solid and cheap enough to test things out without getting locked into a long contract.
