I've been testing different SEO strategies over the past few months and one thing keeps standing out: websites that focus on White Hat SEO continue to perform more consistently than those relying on shortcuts.

For me, the fundamentals still make the biggest difference:

  • Creating genuinely helpful content
  • Improving site speed and Core Web Vitals
  • Building a logical internal linking structure
  • Fixing technical SEO issues
  • Earning relevant backlinks instead of buying spammy ones
  • Updating old content regularly
  • Matching search intent instead of just targeting keywords
With AI-powered search becoming more common, it seems like search engines are rewarding websites that demonstrate expertise and provide real value rather than simply checking SEO boxes.

Improving internal linking has made the biggest difference. It helps search engines understand the site better, improves user experience, and increases traffic to important pages over time.
 
For me, creating content that truly answers what users are searching for has worked the best. I also focus on improving internal links and keeping older content updated. Those simple, consistent efforts have delivered better long-term results than relying on quick SEO tricks.
 
Please tell me you guys understand this is a spam AI post complete with the weird AI/stock image at the top.
 
For me, regularly updating existing content has been the most consistent winner. Small improvements over time often outperform constantly publishing new pages.

It might be but that doesn't mean it not helpful and the comment are more helpfull so its not really about if its AI or not
 
In my experience, topical authority has delivered the most consistent results in 2026.

Instead of publishing random keywords, I build content clusters around one niche, strengthen internal linking, and regularly update existing articles with fresh information. Combined with solid technical SEO and improving pages that already rank on page 2, I've seen more stable traffic growth than chasing quick wins.

Quality content + topical authority + technical SEO is still the best long-term strat
egy.

That's been my experience as well. Updating internal links on older, high-traffic pages has often given newer pages a visibility boost without creating any new content. Have you seen better results from contextual links within the content or from navigation and sidebar links?

That's a solid approach. I think many people underestimate the value of content refreshes. Sometimes expanding a well-performing article and aligning it better with current search intent can make a noticeable difference without creating additional pages.
