With AI now able to create artwork and stories more easily than a human can, do you think future generations of humanity will become less creative because they only use AI to create these things?

Or do you think AI can never replace a human artist or author etc?

Not at all. As someone who's been using ai for quite a while now for a lot of different businesses, i can say without doubt that ai just extends your skills, not make you create something out of nothing. If you already good at something (and, mainly, if you know how to properly research), if you were a mediocre writer you'll became a good or excelent one. If you were a somewhat good coder, you'll be a fantastic one.

But if you give ai to someone who never tried it, or doesn't have nothing to do with that (let's say, give claude max 20x to your grandma) nothing will happen. Even if the ai is the best one in the world, it won't just magically make the person behind it awesome out of magic. What i really feel is that you need to direct it the better way possible to reach what you aim for.

AI doesn't create anything. It recycles and regurgitates. That's it. There's no such thing as an 'AI creation'.

Of course it can't. AI has no feelings or emotions or experiences. It isn't an artist and it never will be. If you think you're creating stuff with AI, you are not.

As a research tool, AI makes us more creative.

We get more creative as ai is able to provide more information that would readily not be available to many

People are getting extremely more creative this days

As a 'research tool' AI makes your regurgitate whatever the Big Tech overloards tell you is the truth.

Here's a tip for anyone who wants to do research:

The BEST tool for research is an old fashioned library...
The kind with paper books.

The information that you can find in library destroys AI.

No they're not.
In fact they're looking very predictable and come across as kind of stupid.

AI is just a helping material that's all. Still in many field without human that work cant be done so take help from AI but not 100% relies on AI.

Al will make human more productive.. technology always busy human not provide freedom.. We learn from history.. When TV came we busy in watching lots of business open, when laptop came most of the accounting ledger book gone but manual accontant and many work created.. Same with AI

There's probably an argument to be made for both sides of this, and I suspect you could find no shortage of credible papers supporting either position depending on how the question is framed. AI is a tool. If you use it as intended, you won't hurt yourself. Simple as.
If you relegate all the thinking to it, then you'll definitely negatively affect how you think cuz creativity is a use it or lose it type of thing. Now, if you're using AI to say bounce off your ideas, explore possibilities, generally brainstorm where your ideas could go, then it doesn't so much affect the creativity you have.

Just don't outsource all the actual thinking to AI for one, and you'll probably be fine. It comes down less to whether someone uses AI and more to whether they're using it as a tool or the brains of the operation.

I think AI is a tool rather than a replacement It can help with ideas and speed up the creative process, but originality, personal experience, and emotion still come from people

The best results will probably come from humans using AI, not AI replacing humans

As a research tool, AI makes our work is easy and some more creative. Thats all!

It will. If used properly, it could even help.

But people don't use it properly

Look at those bots on this forum. They are extremely garbage, total low quality bullshit always repeating the same stuff. It's not used to help with creative ideas or whatever, they only use it in the laziest imaginable way.

Same applies for image generation, articles, etc etc, all the same shitty style, people want the result in 1 prompt, not refine it.

Yes. Absolutely. It already has.

It makes people better story tellers but real creativity is multi-faceted. Definitely is making people less creative in my opinion

Creativity is a fundamental part of being human. We create to express ourselves, communicate our experiences, celebrate, mourn, ask questions, and leave something behind. AI may change how we create, but I don't think it can replace the human drive and creativity.

Welcome to the Internet...
The greatest technological failure created by humanity.

My logic is; Did the invention of computer made human stupid? I think, No. We used it to advance ourselves.

The AI is a tool and it will help humans achieve more creativeness.

LOL

Humans are stupid for inventing the computer.
We gave a group of megalomaniac psychopaths the ultimate tool in social control

AI will change how people create, but not replace creativity itself. People who rely on AI for everything might become less creative, while those who use it as a tool can actually create more and experiment with ideas faster.
