Mostly lurked to source tech stacks and test infrastructure for the corporate IT agency I was working to.

I was their closer. The one they dragged into Zoom calls to salvage high-ticket deal when the pipeline choked.
Spent years watching agency owners bleed brilliant tech talent dry while pocketing 80%+ of the margin.

Last month, I walked. Done building other people's empire. Moving into independent arbitrage.

My model. Built a data pipeline that captures local US business with trash online presence, ghost-town social media, and GPP profiles rotting since 2019.

I don't do the tech work. I don't code, rank, or design.

I find the market gap and scrub the raw data.
I get the owner on a call, and I bridge them to a specialist on my private roaster.
Plan to take $100+ "bridge fee" for the warm handoff and a percentage of the backend.

Goal. $4,000/month in pure broker revenue.

Problem
Never worked from a home office.
Day 1 working, already missing the corporate espresso machine.
Using this thread as my accountability scoreboard.
If I don't post metrics, I'm slacking.

First report tomorrow.

Got a late start yesterday after this thread.
Only had a small window to work before US business hours closed out, light volume.

Fired up the data pipeline targeting Texas HVACs. Pull was messy, lot of dead domains and franchises mixed in.
Manually scrub the list to isolate independent guys with broken sites and missing GBP claims.

Daily positive: Pipeline officially running. One inbound reply asking for portfolio... which I don't have. Need to figure out how to handle that today.
To improve: Need to tighten my capture parameters. Wasted too much time manually deleting franchises from the sheet.

Hope it all works out for you!
Appreciate it.
I will keep your team in mind for my roster when I need to offload some heavy dev or QA work

All the best. Sounds like a good plan backed by experience.
Thanks. Experience helps, but numbers are reality. Always good to have solid coders in network. Might ping you if a company needs custom integration.

Rooting for you. Bookmarked.
Appreciate the bookmark. Let's see if I can keep the momentum up.

Day 2.

Pivoted the pipeline to Florida MedSpas.
Hight-ticket niche, but a shocking number of them are running their entire operation off a basic Instagram page and a broken link.

Figured out how to handle the "where is your portfolio" question from yesterday. I just told I broker for a private collective of specialists and sent over some past work from a dev I know. It worked. Goy my first Zoom call booked for Monday.

Daily Positive: Booked the first discovery call. The portfolio pivot actually worked.
To improve: Email bounces. Pipeline grabbed some dead contact info today. Need to clean it better to not burn domains.

Let's see if this MedSpa owner actually shows up the Zoom on Monday.
Wrapping up the Friday shift

Day 3.

Friday afternoons B2B are a ghost town. Fired up the pipeline for Florida Roofers to build a backlog for next week. Sent a few batches out, but open rates are completely tanked after 2PM EST. Decision makers were already checked out for the weekend.

Paused the outreach. No point burning good data when nobody is reading.

Got a solid stack of vetted roofer leads. Going to hit them hard on Monday morning right before my MedSpa Zomm call.

Daily positive: Pipeline filtering is getting faster. Built a clean list for next week with minimal manual scrubbing.
To improve: Need a set a hard stop for Friday outreach. Sending anything past lunch is a waste of leads.

Taking the weekend off the screen to reset. Back on Monday.

Day 4.

Logging Monday's numbers.

MedSpa Zoom call happened. Owner was 10 minutes late, typical. Walked her through how her broken Instagram link was actively bleeding high-ticket appointments. She panicked and agreed to a system revamp. Handed her off to a UI/UX guy on my roster and collected my first $150 bridge fee. First blood on the board.

Also hit that backlog of Florida Roofers yesterday morning. Open rates were solid.
Got two more discovery calls booked for tomorrow.

Daily Positive: First cash collected. Bridge model works when the pain point is obvious.
To improve: Dev I passed the MedSpa lead took 4hours to confirm receipt, can't have that lag when a buyer is hot. Might need to swap him out if he drags his feet again.

Prepping for the roofer calls tomorrow. Back to the pipeline.

Day 5.

It was a mixed bag.
First roofer call? Ghost. Sat in the Zoom room for 15m and logged off.

Second call went better. The guy actually wants to rebuild his site, but he has absolutely no idea who hosts is or where his domain is registered. Classical headache. Had to send him a guide on how to find his own logins before I can route him to my web guy. Deal is stalled until he figures it out.

Pivoting the data pipeline today to Texas Commercial Cleaning. High recurring revenue for them, but their digital setups are usually old. I have a massive backlog of unused roofer data now, but I am leaving it sitting to focus on the cleaners.

Daily positive: The second roofer is warm, just waiting on his admin to find the passwords.
To improve: Need to set up automated SMS reminders for these meetings. Ghosting wastes too much time.

Back to the pipeline.

Getting an early start today to clear the desk.

Texas Commercial cleaning angle hit surprisingly hard yesterday. Owners are highly responsive when you point out their competitors are eating their local search traffic. Got three solid replies and booked two calls.

Here is the friction: my main local SEO and web guy is capped out for the week. I have warm prospects ready to move, but I am bottlenecked by my own roster. I hate sitting on hot leads. Might have to start vetting new tech providers soon because this lag is costing me momentum.

Meanwhile, the pipeline keeps running.
Unused data list is getting heavy across three different niches now.

Daily Positive: Cleaning niche is a goldmine for broken GBP profiles. Easy pain points to target.
To improve: Provider bottlenecks. Need faster tech guys to hand these off to.

Preparing the calls for later. Let's see if they show up.

Day 7.

Both commercial cleaning owners showed up to the Zoom. One of them is running a 20-person crew using an AOL email address and a Facebook page from 2014. Took some back-and-forth, but got them both to agree to a full digital overhaul.

Routed both to a new UI/UX guy I am testing out. Tow deal greenlit and closed. Finally getting some real momentum on the board.

Daily Positive: Tow deals closed in one afternoon. The cleaning niche converts fast because their tech is so outdated.
To improve: Still spending too much time manually verifying contact info. Need to automate the scrubbing process this weekend.

I'm not sure this strategy is the best idea. I think you should find a reliable online marketing freelancer, start a company, and split the revenue. The sales part is the hardest part belive me! And freelancers don't know and like to do it. Your are living a lot of money on the table.
Just find out what is the easiest to sell and has the greatest cash return and nail it out...

Appreciate the input, but building an agency is exactly what I want to avoid. I have zero interest in managing freelancers, chasing retainers, or dealing with overhead. Bridge model is clean. I take my upfront cut, a percentage of the backend, and let the tech guys handle the fulfillment headaches. Leaving some money on the table is fine, I keep my sanity and my time.

A very unique journey thread and you are very dedicated. I'm following, Best of luck!
Appreciate it. Just sticking to the numbers.

Day 8.

Since local B2B goes completely dead on Frida afternoons, I pivoted the pipeline to Mid-Tier Shopify brands. Specifically filtering for stores that are running paid traffic but missing basic email automation (no abandoned cart flows, no welcome sequences). Just burning ad spend.

E-com owners reply faster but are way more paranoid. Had to record a quick 2min Loom video for the owner to prove his checkout was leaking sales. He caved. Routed him to an email automation guy on my roaster for a quick $100 bridge fee before logging off for the weekend.

Daily Positive: E-com is a great Friday pivot. Pain points are purely mathematical, so it's easier logical close.
To improve: Loom videos take too much time to record individually. Need to figure out a way to template the audits.

Taking the weekend to reset. See you guys on Monday.

Day 9.

Heavy. Had a Shopify owner from Friday's batch reply on Sunday night. He finally watched the Loom video and realized his abandoned car flow was completely broken. Got him on a quick 10minute call yesterday morning and routed him to my email guy. Another $150 on the board.

Pivoted the fresh data pipeline to Boutique Law Firms. High-ticket, but the gatekeepers are brutal. Receptionists screen everything. Had to adjust the email copy to sound like an existent client just to get the open rates up.

Unused data list is getting ridiculous. Over 100 vetted leads just sitting in the sheet across four different niches now. Might need to pause the pipeline tomorrow and just dial, otherwise this data is going to rot.

Daily Positive: Weekend follow-ups actually convert. Loom video strategy is paying off.
To improve: Gatekeepers. Need a better angle to bypass law firm receptionists without burning time.
