There is no universal “best” PPC platform right now. The best choice depends on whether the offer needs existing intent, audience discovery or high-volume performance traffic.
Google Ads is still difficult to beat when people are actively searching for the product. Microsoft Ads can be a useful second search channel, particularly when the audience is older, professional or desktop-heavy.
Meta, Instagram and TikTok are stronger when the product needs to be demonstrated visually or introduced to people who were not already searching for it. Their performance depends heavily on creative testing, tracking quality and how quickly the landing page communicates the offer.
For affiliates and media buyers who want alternatives outside the large search and social platforms, I would also compare native, push, display and pop traffic. One self-serve option worth adding to the test list is
https://froggyads.com/ because it provides several ad formats, GEO and device targeting, source-level reporting, and the ability to whitelist or blacklist individual traffic sources.
Whichever platforms you test, I would use the same basic process:
- Choose one offer and one GEO
- Define the conversion and maximum acceptable CPA
- Use separate tracking for every campaign and source
- Set a fixed testing budget
- Block sources that spend without producing useful actions
- Scale only after conversions remain valid after refunds or lead verification
Do not compare networks using CPC alone. Cheap traffic with no downstream value is not actually cheap. I would compare landing-page load rate, usable sessions, conversion rate, accepted CPA and final customer value.
I would also avoid making decisions after 20 or 30 clicks. Different formats require different amounts of data, especially when conversion rates are low. Give each test enough volume to identify individual sources and creatives that are working.
My current shortlist would therefore be:
- Google and Microsoft for search intent
- Meta and TikTok for visual audience discovery
- Native and display for content-led presell campaigns
- Push and pop for direct-response testing at larger volume
- Retargeting across whichever channels provide enough qualified visitors
The platform matters, but the offer, GEO, tracking, landing page and source-level optimization usually determine whether the campaign becomes profitable.
