Hey everyone

Google updated its Google Ads terms of service around URLs and accounts that advertisers authorize Google to access and crawl for automated campaign setup, seemingly giving Google's systems broader authority to generate, select, and optimize campaign elements automatically. The change went into effect July 1st and apparently didn't require any action or acceptance from advertisers — it just applies now.

From what I understand, it also touches on how info entered into Google's conversational tools inside Ads might get used by their systems going forward.

Curious what you guys think:
  • Has anyone noticed actual behavior changes in their accounts since July 1st?
  • Does this raise any concerns about losing control over campaign elements?
  • Anyone reading these updated terms more carefully because of this?

Would love to hear real experiences from people running accounts here.

Yeah this is legit, n honestly it's less "new power" n more Google finally writin down in the ToS what it's been doin thru DSA/PMax for yrs — the real move here ain't panicking, it's tightenin yer page feeds n URL exclusions (privacy pages, old promos, career pages) so automation only pulls from what u actually want it touchin, cuz the crawl authorization was already happenin, now it's just, y'know, official n harder to argue about in a dispute
