What is the one campaign you wish you never paused

Man, I paused a winning Facebook conversion campaign for just 2 weeks during Christmas holidays. When I turned it back on, the CPA doubled and the pixel acted like it never saw my audience before.

Had a similar experience with a Facebook campaign, paused it for a few weeks and after restarting it took a lot of time to get the same results back. Sometimes keeping it running is better than starting over.
 
I paused a campaign because of low stock. Looking back, I should have lowered the budget instead of turning it off.

This is very true. At times it may be the case that once a campaiign takes a break for a long period of time it no longer gets back its momentum even when everything else is constant. This is just one insttance where u can see how consistency play an equally vital role as optimization.
 
I had a similar experience with a search campaign, sometimes keeping it running with small changes is better than starting again from zero.

Many people underrate the amount of history built through a very profitable ad campaign. It is not so much about the pause itself but rather the absence of a contingeincy plan for when it comes to that. In some cases, a low spend or low maintenance phase is preferable to a restart.
 
I'd rather reduce the budget than pause a stable campaign completely. Restarting doesn't always bring the same results.

Due to lack of funds I had to pause a campaign that was bringing in 4x ROAS.... It never recovered.
 
I learned this lesson too, if a campaign is performing well I prefer to reduce budget instead of fully pausing it.
 
I had a similar experience with a campaign that was performing well before I paused it. After restarting, the same setup gave much worse results, and it took weeks of testing to get it working properly again.
 
High-converting brand campaigns were paused due to budget cuts. After the restart, CPC surged as competitors raised their bids for the new quarter. it took three weeks for the cost to stabilize.
 
I had a similar experience with an old search campaign, sometimes a well-performing campaign loses its momentum after a long pause and takes a lot of time to recover.
 
My mistake was pausing a campaign during a busy period. Later I realized the data and momentum it had built were more valuable than I thought.

yeah i have seen this too because pausing for too long can affect performance and restarting may take more time to recover.

If the campaign was doing well before, do not change too much when you restart it. Let it run for a bit and collect new data first.
 
Sometimes its better to lower the budget instead of fully pausing a campaign. At least the campaign keeps getting some data while things are being changed.
 
yeah i have seen this too because sometimes reducing the budget is better than fully pausing a good campaign.
