let's say that you make an accoutn wih a fake ID and fake data, howwouls you find somebody with those fake details ?As soon as all the porn accounts need to show who they are, they will leave. Then its the scammers and crypto accounts. Then its the Affiliate and government over sight accounts. Then its just the real people and it will not be enough to make the platform profitable or successful. CEO's want money.....they want to but its going to cost them some big bonuses.
*edit - Lets be real, if all accounts have a real name......we are going to Facebook or a main stream platform. The anonymousness of it and freedom are what made it grow and go public. Can't live in a gated community and be reddit, come on MEOW.
Its not the ppl who can its the ppl who cant which make up the majority of reddit. When they leave so does the money.let's say that you make an accoutn wih a fake ID and fake data, howwouls you find somebody with those fake details ?
If millions of users quit won't reddit loose a huge audience? I mean the CEO of Reddit should know that it will hurt Reddit.I think millions of users will quit because they dont even want to do that or just dont have the tech for a clear photo
fr tho. They just asking for people to find ways to bypass the KYCNot a fan of this. Any additional layer of security required by Reddit just makes the experience worse for real users and ironically, means bots will thrive more. Bots have many ways to just AI generate fake IDs.
