Hello BHW!

Does anybody here using crypto cards to pay for daily things or travel?

Is that like a credit card but your funds on that is crypto?
no, it is card that you top up with cryptop and pay online or via Apple/Google pay like normal debit/credit digital card

Crypto cards are great
You can file charge backs , though takes a longer duration
Truth is , lots of crypto cards are still fiat based
Because most processors charge fiat cards only

So I assume

Crypto --> Fiat --> Transaction Takes Place --> Send To Processor --> Merchant

If you file a chargeback, you're filing a chargeback on the fiat sent and trying to recover the fiat funds?

i used pre paid gift cards paid for using solana/bitcoin. Used it for the better part of a full year, works well.

yes, im using Binance card on my daily basis no issues so far!
I use COCA wallet for now and 2 or 3 no KYC crypto cards for grey/black hat payments. Recommend you to leave crypto exchanges crypto cards. My key point – money on exchanges are not yours, but only exchanges. So they could be blocked every minute and literally this happened to me when I travelled! ByBit blocked my account, so my crypto card also was freez.... Not the best experience.

Can you file a chargeback like a normal credit card?
Good question, I think it is possible, but hard.

Mostly all crypto cards are just a brand. They need to use third-party providers so you can pay. Here's how it looks:
  • My Coca wallet uses Wirex as a provider
  • I top up the Coca wallet with 1000 USDT
  • The system sees it and gives me 998 or 999 on my account — they take their commission
  • At the same time, my card gets topped up with fiat for the same amount, but this money is on the provider's side. So that means we are topping up the crypto card, but giving money to the Coca wallet. Coca wallet notices it and tells Wirex — give him X amount on his card that the user uses

Yeah, good experience. Do they provide cashback or other perks?

I used some VCCs that were advertised here on BHW. But they all die eventually... Especially the non-KYC ones.

new card service on the block is KAST
google it
KAST is not new, I use it in 2024. No APY, has comissions on FX and swaps.
I use such VCCs everyday.
Which brand is it and on which geo? Do you pay with G or Apple Pay?

I use some non-KYC vcc, but my main transactions go through coca, but it has kyc. On the same page It opens me more "financial" opportunities — cashback, discounts on subscriptions like GPT, Claude, etc., APY on your balance, cashback in USDC, and more perks. It's something like crypto banking experience, non-kyc VCC simply can't offer that

Yeah, I've used a few. I tested Gnosis Pay, Heleket, XKard, WaldenPay and PrivCards. Out of all of them, PrivCards has been the best for me so far lower fees and it's been the most reliable in my experience.

I have never even heard of a crypto card before.

Maybe my hentai fried brain is too cooked.

This is very convenient if you earn money in crypto and, for whatever reason, don't want or can't have a bank card. Even if you do have a bank card, a crypto card is a great alternative! Read more about it
