How much karma do you usually build before promoting a website on reddit?

I know there is no fixed number , but I am curious about how experienced reddit user approach this. Before sharing a website , blog post ,affiliate offer , or business related content , how much karma do you typically build first?

have you noticed any difference in acceptance rates or moderation action based on the amount of karma an account has?

I do not focus on a specific number of reddit karma. In my experience, what matters more is having a natural posting history and being active in the subreddits where you plan to share content. I have seen accounts with high karma get filtered, while lower karma accounts perform better because they were already contributing to the community.
 
I focus more on building trust and contributing value consistently, karma helps, but genuine engagement and following subreddit rules matter far more for successful promotions.
 
i would say it is better to focus on building a natural account by commenting, joining discussions and sharing useful posts in place of building karma

Well, I think it's better to understand here that if you want a live account and for Reddit to trust the account more, karma isn't that important, but you'll still naturally gain at least 100-200 karma over 2-3 months. So the main thing here is to have a high CQS for promoting your product. So focus on natural activity, don't rush.

I'd say around 300-400 karma it would be ideal before you even think putting links. If I'm helpful in multiple sub reddits people are bound to check my link.
 
Integrating it into the comment is always the best approach, it should feel natural. Most people are adverse to clicking links these days.
 
I often wait for the account to look natural before promoting a website.
