What will happen to the post if I get services to upvote.

Is there any possible penalty to make the post disappear, hidden instead?

Or just the upvote be removed?

big chunk of those upvotes will disappear for sure, especially if the upvoters accounts are using cheap proxies

with the recent reddit updates and the war on bots and automations, I wouldn't doubt the poster will get shadowbanned

the poster usually doesnt get banned just for receiving votes, its the accounts doing the upvoting that get nuked. reddit already discounts votes from low trust accounts so bought upvotes mostly get stripped and do nothing for your ranking anyway

No penalty to the post itself because that would make it trivial to get competitors posts removed - you would just farm the votes in a blatant way to get it pushed into oblivion.

You are safe mostly, only the upvoters accounts will get flagged and banned. The upvotes in this case also get removed.

There’s always some risk when engagement appears unnatural. Even if the votes are simply removed, platforms may also reduce visibility or take other actions if they detect manipulation.
