Hey, I finally created a LinkedIn account yesterday and honestly it feels different from other social apps, everything looks serious and I’m not even sure what people are actually doing there to get opportunities.
Am I supposed to post first or just connect with people?

just start connecting with people in your field first and comment on daily posts, don't worry about posting your own stuff yet.

Treat it like a B2B search engine, not Instagram. Optimize your headline so it clearly states what problem you solve, and search for hiring managers in your niche. Send them connections and comment on their stuff—it gets you hired way faster than posting your own content.

I’d start by connecting with people in your niche first.

No need to rush into posting. Spend a few days engaging with other posts, complete your profile, then start sharing your own content once you get a feel for the platform. It feels much more natural that way.
