Hey everyone,

Since most of us spend hours staring at screens alone in a room, I’m curious what’s the weirdest habit you’ve picked up to keep yourself sane or focused while working?

For example:
- Do you have to have a specific playlist on loop?
- Do you talk out loud to yourself like you're presenting to a board of directors?
- Do you pace around the room every time you're waiting for a campaign to approve?

Let's hear your weird habits. I'm trying to feel a bit more normal here

You first - won't be telling if you not telling.
haha fair enough!

For me, I absolutely have to have music blasting in the background. If there isn't a song or a playlist on a constant loop behind my work tabs, my brain just refuses to focus.

Your turn now, what's yours?

Mine is constantly refreshing analytics or Search Console even though I know nothing is going to change in the next few minutes I also tend to walk around the room whenever I'm waiting for something to finish It sounds weird, but those little breaks actually help me stay focused

I used to do a lot of selling over the phone in my youth and picked up the habit of jumping out my chair every time the phone was answered, then proceeded to walk around like a lunatic while talking.....in between calls I would talk and mutter to myself...

To this day I can't sit still and talk on a phone....I no longer talk to myself though, which is something....

Biting my fingers and toes.

Usually happens after vicious hentai watching sesh when my energy drains.

Btw working after nutting 9 times is almost impossible.

I try to stop but cant. I touch and shape my beard by my hand unknowinglyyyyyyyyyy :D

That is actually a classic! Refreshing stats gives a tiny hit of excitement, even if it's the same number. And pacing around the room is a great way to think. Those mini-walks are keeping your brain awake!

Haha, the beard is like a built-in stress toy. A lot of people with beards do this without knowing. It is just your brain's way of relaxing while you think hard about work.
spending time with myself, reading good books and listening music.
It is actually super peaceful. It sounds like the perfect way to recharge your brain batteries before jumping back into hard work.
A short walk outside or a quick nap usually does the trick.
Power naps and fresh air are the best secrets for good work. It feels like hitting the "restart" button on your computer when it gets too slow.

Ouch, biting toes sounds like a serious workout! Most people stick to fingernails, so using toes means you must be super flexible. Maybe try a stress ball instead to save your skin.
Disappearing for days/weeks at a time.
Sometimes the brain just says "no more work" and shuts down. Taking a long break is fine, just make sure your boss doesn't call the police looking for you hehehe

Walking while talking helps you speak with more power and excitement. Even if you look a bit funny walking around, it probably helped you make a lot of successful sales.

I have a J in the corner of my mouth 24/7
Haha. Just make sure you don't accidentally try to light it backwards when you're deeply focused on a task
knitting the knots in my hair. Totally unconscious
oh It's like your hands need their own separate task to keep your brain focused on the screen. By the end of a long work week, you've basically created a whole masterpiece up there without even realizing it
