Hello everyone

I'm curious to hear your thoughts on this

Does domain age still play a significant role in SEO or can a newer website compete effectively if it has high quality content and a strong backlink profile

I'd love to hear about your experiences and opinion

I do not think domain age matters as much these days. I have seen many newer sites outrank older domains by publishing genuinely helpful content. Older domains may have an advantage if they have built trust over time, but they are definitely not impossible to beat.

In my opinion domain age has become a much less significant aspect compared to what it used to be. It is true that an old domain will beneffit from having established some level of authority but a newer site will surely be able to challenge it through the use of quality content, SEO techniiques nd proper links.

Domain age alone cannot bring about a lot of change. There are instances where new websites perform better than older sites due to their high-quality content and links. Domain age can only help if there is a trusted domain with a good reputation..

Yes a new website can outrank an older domain if it has better content strong backlinks excellent user experience and matches search intent more effectively Domain age alone is not enough to guarantee higher rankings

A new website can absolutely outrank an older one. Domain age isn't a direct ranking factor content quality topical authority backlinks and user experience matter much more in today's SEO

in my view domain age is just an additional factor rather than a ranking factor. Yeshh domain age will have more credibility but what happens when the new website performs better than the old one? It surely has the chance to compete. In my opinion the consisttency nd quality of the website hold more weight than its domain age.

In my opinion, domain age is not all it is made out to be. A new website with excellent content, good internal links, and good backlinks will beat a well-aged domain any day.

Yes, it is possible if the content is more powerful and matches with the user search intent then it can compete with older domains.

i do believe that domain age can be considered overhyped. It is true that an old domain might be favored bcoz of its authority but at the same time i have noticed some websites that started from scratch nd managed to attract users quite quickly bcuzz of the effective use of content nd topics.

yes, a new website can definitely outrank an older one. age is only one small signal and it means very little without authority. i have watched newer sites climb past established competitors within months because they published useful content consistently and built relevant backlinks. if the older domain is relying only on its age, it will eventually lose. i would invest time into content quality, internal linking and earning solid links instead of worrying about how old the domain is.

Domain age itself isn't a direct ranking factor anymore, but older domains usually have built-in trust and zero sandbox penalty. However,a fresh domain with perfect on-page SEO,high-quality unique content, and highly relevant niche backlinks can absolutely outrank an old, abandoned website. It just takes more patience to pass the initial Google sandbox period.

Domain age alone doesn't mean anything, but the authority and reputation said domain accrued over the years is what matters. If your brand new site is going against an old domain with decent authority, it'll struggle. But against an older domain that only had age to its name is as good as a new one.

Yes a new websites can outrank an older domain. Domain age alone does not guarantee rankings.
A newer site can compete with better content, strong user experience, relevant backlinks and good SEO practices. Older domains usually have an advantage only becuase they may already have authority and history,

A newer site with better content, strong backlinks, good user experience, and proper SEO can compete with older websites. Older domains mainly have an advantage when they already have authority and trust.

domain age can help a bit, but it’s not the main driver anymore
in my experience, relevance and authority matter way more than just age.

Yes, there are a lot of new domain registrations these days, but it really depends on the content you create and the strategies you use.

Yes, I've seen newer sites outrank older ones. Domain age by itself doesn't carry much weight if the newer site has better content, satisfies search intent, and earns relevant, high-quality backlinks.

An older domain only has an advantage if it has built real authority over time.
