Any benefits from image submissions sites ?

I think image submission sites can still be useful, but probably not as a direct ranking factor anymore. They seem better for brand exposure, referral traffic, and getting your visuals discovered through image search. I’m still learning SEO though, so I’d be interested to know if anyone here is seeing measurable traffic or links from image submissions in 2026.
 
Image submission sites still have some value for branding, image discovery, and referral traffic, but I wouldn't rely on them for SEO alone. Most links are no-follow and pass less ranking value. I'd only use them as a small part of a broader link-building strategy, not as a core tactic.
 
I think image submission helps a little, especially for getting image visibility, but I will not use them as my main SEO strategy.

100% totally agree. You should also use proper metadata for greater discoverability of your images and for Google to understand what they represent.

today, the submision of pictures is more for visibility rather than optimization. unique and imprtant picture can create brand mention, get trafic through image searche nd get some referral trafic, but that is about all.

In my view their effectiveness lies in their usage. It would make no sense to upload the same images wherever u want bcz there would not be much effect from it. However if the images r pertinent, optimized nd uploaded to social media sites frequented by the target audience they can help draw more attention nd bring extra vissitors.
 
they can provide a little extra exposure and maybe a few backlinks but I would not rely on them as a major seo strategy if you use them focus on high quality platforms and unique images i see them more as a small supporting tactic than a primary traffic source
 
Image submissions are always benefit foor every business or product or tools. Because along with the articles a eye catching single image delivers the main context.

But image submission sites need to improve their trust and authority as like contextual link placement imo
 
I still use them occasionally, but I don't expect much SEO value from them anymore.
