Hello guys, since taboola has been very strict i wanted to try alternative less strict platforms and i came across MGID , anyone who has experience with MGID or MediaGo i would appreciate if you can drop some knowledge, my niche Chargeback/recovery (Greyhat i believe)

Cloaking helps, but I’d say start by testing a bit more organically with MGID before going full throttle.

Thank you, yes i have to take it easy get familiar with the platform and everything else first

Brother, to be honest, Mediago is more strict than Taboola. You won't be able to survive more than 2 days. I have experience on Mediago of more than 2 years.

Used MGID a while back - they're definitely less strict than Taboola but still expect you to keep things looking "mainstream enough." Chargeback/recovery niche could fly depending how aggressive your creatives are. MediaGo (the Huawei DSP) is a bit trickier, they lean more conservative in my experience. Either way, I'd suggest warming up your landers and cloaking just in case, especially if you're planning on pushing harder angles. Test small first - MGID traffic quality can be hit or miss depending on GEO and vertical.

maybe mgid has changed but they used to have poor traffic. go soft/collect data via cloaking then go full blast

MGID’s a bit more chill when it comes to native ads, especially those that lean into aggressive creatives. They still have policies and fraud detection tools like GeoEdge in place, but there’s a little more wiggle room. On the flip side, MediaGo is more buttoned-up about compliance, but they make up for it with solid targeting and optimization tools that can really help you scale even if your offer’s riding the edge a bit.
If you're diving into the chargeback/recovery niche (yep, greyhat territory), some folks have used cloaking to slide past restrictions, but that’s a risky move. It can get you banned real quick. Best bet? Start small, keep a close eye on your data, and try to stay as creatively compliant as you can.

MediaGo isnt that strict nowadays, Taboola and Mediago, both are at moderate. There are known who are spending finance on MediaGo upto 40k-60k each account, why would anyone call strict to Mediago, lol

If you're moving from Taboola, MGID and MediaGo are definitely more lenient, but Chargeback/Recovery is still considered a high-risk vertical on almost all native networks.
Here's what you need to know about both:
MGID: Their moderation is way more flexible than Taboola's, but they will still manually review your landing pages. To run a recovery offer here, your safe page needs to look like a legitimate financial blog or consumer advice article. Once approved, you'll need to use a clean cloaking setup to direct the actual high-risk traffic to your money page. Be prepared for a higher volume of bot traffic compared to Taboola; you'll need to aggressively blacklist poor-performing publisher IDs early on.
MediaGo: They have great traffic quality (especially in MSN placements), but they are heavily backed by Baidu's tech, making their compliance rules automated and sometimes unpredictable. They are strict on 'claims' made in your ad copy, so keep your headlines extremely clean (e.g., 'Understand Your Consumer Rights After a Scam') rather than aggressive promises of 'getting your money back.'
Regardless of which one you choose, do not send traffic directly to a hard-pitch recovery landing page. Use a pre-lander (advertorial style) to warm up the audience and pass moderation safely.
