My problem is this: I build AI-powered automation systems for businesses, but with so many options, I don't know what type of business to focus on, which AI tools are most in demand, or where to direct my work.

Local service businesses are a good place to start AI chatbots CRM automation appointment booking and lead follow up are among the most requested automation solutions right now

I understand, but it's something I consider very simple. It's not even AI; I'm referring to more sophisticated things on the market. I'm in the middle of my AI Engineering degree, and I think I have the ability to do more than just simple bots, you know? That's what's holding me back.

That's a positioning problem, not a capability problem. Don't start with AI tools start with one industry that has repetitive, high-value workflows. Solve one painful problem exceptionally well then let demand tell you what to build next

I understand what you mean In that case you may want to focus on more advanced AI solutions like custom AI agents, workflow automation systems, data analysis tools, or industry specific AI products The challenge is usually not building the technology but finding a business problem where it creates clear value

I'd focus on solving one specific business problem instead of targeting every niche. Once you get repeatable results in one industry, referrals and case studies make it much easier to expand.
