Hi everyone,

Just wanted to see if anyone here has gone through something similar.

My Bitget account was put under review on Sunday, July 5, 2026, and it's still under review. So far, Bitget hasn't asked me for any documents or information yet. I've already contacted support and I'm waiting for an update.

I'm trying to find people who have actually been through this.

  • Did your account eventually get unlocked?
  • How long did the review take?
  • Did Bitget ask you for any documents later?
  • If your account was closed, were you allowed to withdraw your funds first?
  • Any advice on how to deal with the review process?
I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone with first-hand experience. Every case is different, but it would help to know what usually happens.

Thanks!

Things like this is exactly why I never leave anything significant on any CEX. I’ve never had this happen personally but from what information there is online the support will keep you in a copy paste response loop indefinitely.

Well it is very concerning for me. I am looking for someone who has gone through it and was able to get is funds back. in some cases i heard that bitget tell the user to withdraw his funds so they can close the account.

Your best bet would be to just go through their support, I doubt someone will be able to properly advice you because there’s like a million different reasons they restrict accounts.

Yes i have been talking to their support and i am at the 5th day of this review thing (they gave 10 days review timeframe) so waiting for 10 days to be completed before i escalate it in different way, although they dint mention any reason of this freeze so far.

It’s pretty standard for them to do that, read through their Reddit sub, it’s filled with people having your exact issues.

Yeah i read on reddit, but i am so disappointed with reddit bcz when i tried to post my issue they blocked my posts and thn yesterday blocked my profile , dint understand their policy regarding posting.

Keep this as a lesson for future reference, never hold anything significant in a centralized exchange, majority of your holdings should be in your (hardware) wallet which only you hold full control over. Treat exchanges like a public restroom, go in, do your business, get out.

Hello boys, i appreciate all the thoughts you guys shared with me, i would never ever keep my finds in such exchanges. Although by the grace of GOD my funds has been recovered . below the email is attached. This is exactly the reply i was waiting for. it was a whopping 36,800 usdt

The review might be because, depending on your country, some crypto brokers now require you to report your account balance to tax authorities or for tax purposes. My recommendation is that if you manage to avoid this, you should move your savings to a Web3 wallet and simply maintain a monthly flow of funds in accounts like BitGet and Binance. Also, keep in mind that with these platforms, you don't own the crypto, so if it disappears, you can't easily recover it. You're also vulnerable to platform hacks, and while they don't happen every day, they do occur. Seriously consider moving your earnings to a Web3 DeFi platform.

Yup. Not your keys not your money.

Never leave anything significant on any exchange, if FTX has proven anything, there’s no such thing as an exchange that’s too big to fail. Even though this isn’t directly related to your issue, you should always use a non-custodial wallet to prevent these things.

Man, you're really brave to leave almost 40k on a cex, never done that on my life, and never will. But glad to know you were able to unfreeze your funds
