I had few personal finance blogs, I sold them last year, just because people are nowadays search more in LLM platform for questions rather spending time reading blogs.. we have to focus more on AI models now what people like mosts now..

AI and personal finance are still good niches but they are highly competitive. For new bloggers, local business, niche services, and problem solving topics often offer better opportunities because they are easier to rank and attract targeted traffic.
It seems I have done well in niche topics that are a little boring but require an answer from the audiennce before they decide. Topics such as comparisons, pricing, alternatives, and best for search terms last longer than jst following the current trend of the month.

Digital PR is working better in the AI era. also niche relevant links from high authority sites works great as well.
with expose of ai system there is limitations in traffics on blog pages which are not index with good quality content to rank in serp result for research traffics,ai pages are overwhelmed with traffics in every keyword research with verified optimize data/content.

I'm seeing local business blogs perform better because they're easier to rank, while AI blogs need a unique angle to stand out.

Micro niches seem to be the cool new thing. It is not working on ai or financial keywords, but on gaining topical authority within a certain niche with somethingg useful to say about a particular problem that works. the niche itself can help, but execution is the key.

The best niche i see is beauty/health . This is at least for me the best that worked
The niche per se is becoming less of a decisive point for me. there were many cases when smaller websites won because of their deep understandinng of particular issues rather than very broad coverage. having an audience that has the intention to purchase something is better effective than niche trends.

The biggest shift I've seen in 2026 is that "pick a profitable niche" matters less than "pick a niche where you can become a recognizable source." AI-generated content has made it much harder for generic blogs to gain traction through search alone.

Personal finance and local business niches are still solid in 2026 they have consistent search demand and monetize well through affiliates and ads. AI content blogs are oversaturated now, so tighter micro-niches like "AI tools for real estate agents" will outperform broad AI blogs every time.
It seems that the best opportunities come one step beyond the obvious niche. AI or Finance may seem too generic individually, but an audience with a problem to solve is easier to develop than expected. It does not matter so much what the niche is; rather, it is having an angle worth developing further.
