I built a SaaS site ten months ago, and it's now stable at around 450 MRR per month. It's hard to increase it further. Is there any way to get traffic? Doing SEO is too hard. thanks
you are absolutely right, my bad.450 at ten months means the product works, the distribution just doesn't. Before you chase new traffic I'd look at what you already have... 450 MRR is probably like 20-30 customers, so a price test or a higher tier can move that number more than any traffic channel in the short run. Cheap to test too.
On the reddit stuff, @Predictalpha's approach is the sane version of it. Actually reading the sub, writing like a person, one link at the bottom. @halekrealme the karma buying part is how you end up shadowbanned and then that channel is dead for you permanently, not really worth it when the organic version works fine if the post is good.
The referral idea though is solid. 50% off for a month is weak imo, people don't move for that. Give them something that actually matters, free month or a permanent discount while the referral stays subscribed. You already have the customers, cheapest channel you'll ever get.
Other thing nobody mentioned... integrations and directories. Depending on your niche, being listed where your users already are (marketplace, app directory, whatever tool they pair yours with) brings small but steady signups and it compounds. Not sexy but it's basically free.
