I just read reddit's official official announcements "How We're Keeping Reddit Real and Safe in the AI Era." They are Introducing stronger ai powered system detect spam coordinated manipulation and low quality content while putting even more focus on authentic community engagement. Do you think this update will improve Reddit or will it make things harder for genuine marketers as well.?

Blocking 23 Million spam views per day

Catching 25K net new spammy posts and comments a day.
Reducing spam exposure for our users by ~20% from January to March 2026, relative to the prior three months and an additional 10–15% drop in overall spam account exposure.
Revoking nearly 2M inauthentic votes per day over the last three months.

It’s definitely going to make things harder for genuine marketers in the short term. AI detection systems often trigger false positives, which means legitimate promotion and organic accounts might get flagged along with the spam. Marketers will need to focus 100% on high-quality, human-like engagement to survive this
 
I've noticed the impact of Reddit's recent AI updates. Accounts that post content too frequently and send a high volume of private messages tend to get suspended very quickly.
 
This will mostly affect spammy marketers. If you add value and follow the community rules, it should be okay.
 
I think Reddit will become better with fewer fake posts and votes. Marketers just need to focus more on helping people instead of only promoting.
 
I see if it meets the requirements of the query, does a better job at covering the topic compared to the top-ranking pages, and has clear internal linking. When I feel like I could confidently give it to someone who asked that particular question, it is normally ready for publishing.
This would be more harmful to people trying to automate the process and build accounts rather than for actual marketers adding value and engaging naturally.
 
Reddit has been moving this direction for a while. I would not be surprised if they are getting better at detecting patterns instead of just individual posts. For marketers, building real accounts and contributing to communities is becoming more important than ever.

The key will be how they behave and not how they post on the Internet. being a platform that has alway valued participation in the online community those that do not participate but post will defiitely suffer the consequence.

Maybe, maybe not but reddit is clearly investing heavily in detecting spam and coordinated manipulation whether the ai is perfect or not the direction they're are pretty clear

The ai detectors say that the American constitution is AI generated.All of tools generate false positives
 
Apparently been running for a while now, personally I haven’t noticed any significant differences between the last couple of months - Reddit has always been pretty much as strict as it gets when it comes to getting flagged.
 
For marketers and SEO people, it is probably another reminder that genuine discussions are becoming more valuable than low-quality promotional posts.
