What do you think the next big thing will be, or what will be the natural evolution in the crypto space (not fads like NFTs).?

Tokenization of everything. YES. Some big wigs have already make it clear this is the way forward.
But I still believe there's some other so called innovation that could pop up like NFTs did..

The natural evolutionary path has to be that of DePIN or Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks. Real estate tokenization has not been quick owing to extensive regulation, but crowdsourced decentralized storage, compute, and telecommunications using crypto incentives are already disrupting Big Tech and have practical applications right away.

The most interesting answer and well informed.
Are you involved in that vertical?

trend change fast but the real winners usually adapt early
Too many fads to keep up with, hard to know which one sticks. How do you do it.
Smart contracts that actually work for real estate and insurance. You pay for the NFT and you also own the land.

This is something reserved for the institutions though, not so much for the individuals except they will be the buyers

Undercollateralized loans would be cool but I don't think it will happen anytime soon

I believe the next major trend will be the widespread adoption of cryptocurrency for global payments.

As long as it isn’t another memecoin cycle I’ll take it lol, can’t handle another dogewifhat doing a x100000.

Glad it all made sense!
Although I don’t have my own hardware rig, I was involved in researching and investing in DePIN projects.
Everyone talks about pumping memecoins, but DePIN fixes practical problems in Web2 like shortage of AI computation hardware and expensive cloud services. Protocols that provide cheap technology to businesses will prevail.

Are you thinking about getting into it or figuring out where the money goes?

One of the foundational principal of capitalism, ie lowering costs to bare minimum .... if DePIN delivers the solution efficiently, it will DEFINITELY emerge as one of the "next big things".

To answer your question: interested in projects before the market prices me out, trying to understand / guess where the cap flows, so I can grab a seat before all seats get sold out.

@Mark_Veteran you say you were involved, does that mean you worked at an institutional player that invested in dePIN, or you mean to say you invested yourself? Are you still involved in the space? If you see any potential and seek some additional cap support or just looking to expand your network reach out to me, I'd be very happy to connect

I can't process how some of these memes generate 10000000000000000 %.

tokenized lands + carbon credit markets,
Carbon credit markets - interesting thing, but they failed to generate the volume promised even 20 years later. Wrapping it in tokens has been done already, toucan and Nori being the main ones I think, but none got wide market adoption.

Interesting market though. I had a brief experience. You've been involved in the CC market yourself?

agent payments. ai agents paying other agents. buying services. and executing txs autonomously is probably the next real big thing in crypto.

Next big things are XR, smartglasses, robot, everyone gaming, AI, etc.

I think this is close to be on the money..... AI+CRYPTO. Match made in ........... Heaven, or not:D

I see most answers focus on products, basically concepts wrapped in blockchain, but my curiosity is more toward tech shifts. Everybody knows already that the entire capmarket will be wrapped in blockchain, from rwa tokens to ownership title tokens.....

But maybe there's something else. Something similar to how NFTs swept away everything....

I think the next big step is real world adoption rather than another hype cycle Stablecoin payments tokenized real world assets and better cross chain interoperability seem much more promising than short lived trends The projects that solve real problems and offer practical utility are the ones most likely to see long term growth

Yes, I’ve executed a offer in the carbon credit market.
I consider it the "next big thing" driven by the global shift ~~it’s not just a niche market trend.
Everything is already being optimized for carbon emission regulations as players position themselves ahead of 2030 agenda. It’s not a gamble when you look at the geopolitical moves mandating this and industries reshaping themselves for the energy transition.
This affects all physical goods: those that can be digitized are already on that path, while others will be modified to comply... including "money" itself, food, land, transport, communication, and so on. just do the math... Ships need to burn fossil fuels and there are no alternatives to satisfy the demand, so the carbon credit market is a way to mitigate that ~~ at least partially.
Meanwhile, consumption demand is rising; it’s not just data centers or memory RAM sticks that are getting more expensive.
