Right OK, thanks for that. Have just spent some time here reading threads about it, wondering it it might be useful for myself easing back into things, potentially via aff programs.

What about the link issues that Invictus alluded to above? Can they be overcome?
 
There's quite a few threads here stating that Pin is good for affiliate marketing.
Hmmm.. the plot thickens.
 
Affiliate marketing programs like Amazon Associates, ClickBank, Rakuten, or digital product creation networks can directly link to pins on the Pinterest platform. However, using a blog in combination is still much more sustainable, because Pinterest can tighten its algorithms or block direct, naked links.

Pinterst is a great tol for use in your afiliate marketing endeavors but using direct links only may not be enough. Instead you could take the visitor on Pinterst through to a blog post or landing page where your links reside.

Affiliate links don't work directly on Pinterest as it is not allowed to post affiliate links on your pins. You can, however drive traffic to your website and put the affiliate links there for people to buy.
 
Many affiliate programs perform well on Pinterest, especially in home, beauty, fashion, and digital products.
 
Affiliate marketing is still highly effective if you know how to grow on Pinterest. The key is making sure your content and the products you promote are a good fit for the platform.
