I'm posting this in this category because I honestly don't know where else it belongs, and I think it might be related since it happens on TikTok livestreams. (If I'm mistaken, please let me know.)

Does anyone know what this is about? I think it might be a scam.

In my country, people stream on TikTok playing Chicken Road as a form of disguised advertising. They claim they're playing it just because they enjoy it (which is obviously not true). Whenever you ask them where they're playing, they send you a link to some shady online casino.

Does anyone know how this supposed scam works or what it's actually about?

They're most likely getting paid to drive signups through referral links.
 
You should immediately report these game-promoting live streams and absolutely do not click on any links sent to you.
 
A lot of these streams are probably more about sending traffic somewhere than the actual content itself.

The livestream is likely just a marketing funnel the game is used as bait while the real goal is pushing viewers toward the platform behind the link.
 
It sounds like an affiliate marketing scheme more than anything. The streamers earn commissions for getting people to sign up through their links, so the gameplay is really just a way to attract viewers. That said, some of those casino sites can be unlicensed or unreliable, so it's a good idea to be cautious before clicking or depositing any money.
