Reddit accounts getting banned instantly even with residential proxies - what am I missing?

Hey everyone,

Been dealing with a frustrating issue and looking for advice from people who have been through this.

my home ip got flagged by reddit at some point so I cant use it for any accounts. i have been purchasing aged reddit accounts and logging into them through residential proxies via gologin.

The problem is they keep getting banned and some instantly on login, some after a day or two of light activity. I'm not doing anything aggressive, just basic browsing and occasional comments.

Setup I'm using:
  • GoLogin for browser fingerprinting
  • Residential proxies (different IP per account)
  • Separate profiles per account
Things I've already tried:
  • Using different residential IPs per account
  • Waiting 24-48 hours before any activity after login
  • Keeping activity minimal in first few days
Still getting banned. Is this a fingerprinting issue? Account quality issue with the sellers? Reddit's detection getting smarter about transferred accounts?

Would appreciate any insight from people running reddit accounts at scale. as i want to run reddit account for my service

Check the ASN of those proxies make sure it's pointing to a real ISP and not a datacenter pretending to be one
 
The problem might be with GoLogin or your proxy provider.. Try Kameo and MultiLogin with a mobile proxy.
 
It's literally the same issue with me. Same resources, same tools, same results.

So, is GoLogin having problems? Premium ISPs have been a complete waste of money these past few weeks.
 
In my experience, changing too many things at once makes it harder to figure out what's causing the bans. I'd test one setup and stick with it for a while.

i dont even know at this point, did everything i could, wasted good amount of money on clean ISPs but still having the issue

whenever i log into the account i bought, i dont do any changes for like 3-5 days, all i do is scrolling thats it. i run the account on clean residential proxy with stable ip and on gologin. but they somehow gets banned automatically or when i try to leave a comment or do a post that is non promotional - just engaging with the community

From what I've seen it's often the account quality, not just the setup. If accounts are getting suspended right after login or after minimal activity, they may already have been flagged before you bought them or Reddit may be detecting that ownership changed. Even with separate browser profiles and residential IPs, there's no setup that guarantees accounts won't be restricted. If you're managing a service on Reddit, you'll generally have better long-term results building up accounts naturally or using established accounts that you legitimately control, rather than relying on purchased accounts. That tends to be more durable than trying to optimize the technical setup alone.
 
Try different accounts provider and see if it make any difference
 
Don't buy accounts without cookies. I use adspowe and literally all of them got banned, from multiple vendors. They flag the account the moment a new browser logs in, their system is really good at identifying sold accounts, they'll literally ban you before you do a single action. Even just browsing.

Haven't figured out how to properly reuse bought accounts, most likely the easiest way would be to create/build your own. Testing out mobile proxies that rotate every 30 mins and manual rotating 5g proxies. So far if I reuse cookies, the acc's don't get banned after a few days.

you need to use the same IP that was used to create the account. there is no other way around it. so even if you bring the cookies, it will make it even worse cause the cookies are "attached" to the original IP

IP address can constantly change, that's natural. So if it's a USA account it should have a USA ip.

People travel, change providers, change phones constantly - so a new IP address alone is not sufficient to get banned - though I agree it immediately flags the account for further suspicious activity, thus requiring longer warmup times.

This month I'll try making my own accounts, i'll just buy the emails instead.
 
Don't use proxies because reddit has become very strict. How many accounts do you need to manage

Could be a mix of all of these things. Have you tried creating the accounts yourself from scratch and does that work? How are you checking the quality of your proxies?

just 2 days ago i created an account by myself, right now warming it up. soo far the account didnt get banned itself which i think is a good thing. i usually check through ipqualityscore website. dont have that knowledge tho
 
You may have been using the same device for multiple accounts. Using the same device across different accounts makes them much easier for the platform to detect and link together.
 
Most likely either your account provider selling you flagged account or your proxy provider is bad

Haven't tried ipqualityscore before but it looks good, so if you are getting clean scores there then proxies are less likely to be the problem. If the accounts you created yourself are working without issues using the same setup, then the most likely problem is that the purchased accounts are bad quality
 
tbh i think the aged accounts are the problem. reddit is pretty good at detecting account transfers rn. a new fingerprint. new ip. new location. and completely different behavior all at once is a huge red flag.
