I personally feel over complicated when there is multiple different business models - so if one model says one thing and the other says the total opposite thing... For example in dropshipping you deliver fast, but as an affiliate you never even have to worry over the product delivery - on the other hand, affiliates are asked to be honest and not mislead - while at the same time they have no control over the actual product they promoting...

You use a spytool to remove the guessing game and start working. There are spytools for dropshipping and affiliate marketing. You try to find what's working, how it is working and who is it for that it's working. Copy their method, their strategy , not literally but you get the point.
Bottomline there are spy tools for evey model of business, so use them and narrow down your learning curve.

After i found something that works for affiliate campaign - i tend to worry about if the seller will deliver or not... am i really overthinking this? Usually affiliates don't worry at all about the product delivery at all - but i don't get it why they don't worry over it after the purchase is made...

i have no idea to define what is what now.. what is working means what? is it just about an ad working for long period of time? but it does not say the product even works for the customer who buys... im little confused here...

What is working ? Ads and which offer. Who is working for? Affiliate(s) you can find who they are how many ads they are running what other offers they are promoting are they scaling the offer, are they seller too.
Sellers can cut you in one obvious way is by collecting emails on your traffic and promoting offer(s) on their backend and cutting you off from the sale. I avoid offer that has email capture form, quiz or popup anywhere in the sales page. Read the reviews about the seller, just google it.
As far as offer is concerned I don't care as long as it converts. It's not my problem if is good or not it's sellers, buyers and affiliate networks responsibility to quality check, not mine I am not selling it I am only promoting it.

when i look for reviews about the seller - am i looking for product reviews? or am i looking for seller not cutting the sale for the affiliates?

I've realized that the easiest way to handle multiple business models is to stop mixing their rules.
Each model has a different job. In affiliate marketing, my job is to send quality traffic. In dropshipping, I'm responsible for the customer experience. Once I started treating each model separately instead of comparing them, everything became much simpler.

you are not looking for product review because you already have a list of winning products/offers from the spytools.
you are looking at the review of the sellers, of the affiliate networks products are listed on if any. you are looking at what other affiliates say about the seller and the network not what buyers say about the product.
