I am looking at so many good deals on Avito.ru but it's shut for non Russians, anybody managed to register an account there or how to acquire one?

Compatibly with this section I have to say a new market that seldom is mentioned here is Avito.ru , but unfortunately it's shut off for non Russians (especially during this geopolitical moment) , anybody managed to register an acoount or otherwise acquire one (here or elsewhere) . Lots of good deals there

what is special about this site, prices ? Even If you manage to buy something I think It will be pain in the ass to import it from Russia due to sanctions?

Avito has good local pricing on some niches yeah, but the hard part is not just account registration... it’s payment + delivery + customs. A lot of sellers won’t bother with foreign buyers anyway, even if you message them in Russian. If you don’t already have someone inside Russia to inspect/pay/ship, the “deal” can disappear pretty fast with fees and risk. For digital stuff or small items maybe worth chasing, but for physical goods I’d be careful.

The registration block is really just phone verification tied to a russian number these days. You can get around the account part with a russian sim or one of those SMS activation services, but like @Adsmith2026 said the account is the easy 5%.

Real problem is everything after. Avito is basically a local classifieds board, most listings are cash on pickup or Avito Доставка which won't ship abroad. You realistically need a person on the ground, otherwise you're paying a middleman/reshipper and the margin on those "good deals" vanishes fast.

If youre chasing digital goods or accounts it's doable. Physical stuff getting out of RU right now... nah, not worth the headache imo.

Yeah, good luck buying something on russian marketplaces. Do some research on the percentage of scams there, and think about how you will get your money back if you get a bottle of water in a 5070 box. Russians themselves are picking up their orders at local post offices and opening the boxes under cameras there to have proof that they are scammed.

you can buy pre-warmed avito accounts on ru forums or telegram bots for like 2 or 3 bucks, but keeping them alive is the real pain. their anti-fraud is pretty aggressive now... if you don't use a clean russian residential proxy and an antidetect browser you'll get shadowbanned or hit with a selfie verification check almost instantly. if you just want to browse or scrape data it's fine, but for actual buying you still need a local bank card anyway. some guys use kazakhstan or uzbekistan intermediaries to forward physical packages but the extra shipping and fees kill most of the margin.

How will you import the products? Russia is in war and has sanctions right now.

Yeah @Ghost Merchant is right about the selfie checks, they actually rolled out gosuslugi verification recently. even if you get a cheap account with a virtual number, the moment you start messaging sellers, they flag you and you need a real Russian ID or face scan to unlock it. basically a dead end unless you have a partner over there handling the logistics.

I know how to set up such a business. But first, I have to ask: what products from Avito are likely to be in high demand among your customers?
