From what I have seen, long form videos do not have the same waiting game as Shorts. If u can consisttently upload one quality video a day, that is perfectly fine. Older videos can keep getting recommended even after u publish a new one so I would focus more on consistency and making each upload worthwhile rather than waiting for views to drop.
The approach to long form content is somewhat different compared to Shorts. Videos do not necessarily get their full visibility right away as they can be tested by different groups of ppl by You Tube through time. As long as the quality is sustaiined posting every day does not seem an issue. I would concentrate on the watch time metrics more than on gaps between posts.
Honestly, upload frequency feels like the wrong thing to optimize on a brand new channel because until YT figures out who actually enjoys your videos, every upload is basically feeding the algorithm another data point rather than competing with the previous one
Once a week is a good number in my opinion. If you post too much, audience will loose interest. They should wait for next upload.
Posting 1 video per day is good provided they have high content quality.
I would not wait for the previous video to run out of views before posting the another video . long videos have traffic spikes even weeks after the initial post, so each video will generate its own traffic. However, if you can manage to keep up with one gud video a day, then can do it, but try not to compromise the subject, the thumbnail, and the watch time just bcz of it.
For long-form, you don’t need to wait like with Shorts. Each video is tested separately, so you can upload daily if the quality is good. 1 video per day is completely fine, just make sure you’re not sacrificing CTR and retention. Consistency + strong videos matter more than timing.
