Are we creating content for google instead of people?

yeah, alot of pages are optimized for google but useless for the person searching. i usually check serp, reddit/forums and gsc queries first, then write the page around the real question. keywords help, but intent is what keeps people there.

Yes, understanding user intent is more important than ever because search engines reward content that genuinely solves the user's problem, not just pages filled with keywords. I usually analyze the top-ranking results, related searches, and common questions to create content that matches what people are actually looking for.

User intent has to come first, but I still see basic SEO as the map that helps people find the page. I usually check autocomplete and forum questions, then make sure the article answers those questions clearly without stuffing keywords in just because a tool suggested them.

Many websites are perfectly optimized but still fail to focus to connect with users. The pages have keywords, headings and all the SEO basics but they do not always answer the real question behind the search. Do you think understanding user intent has become more important than traditional optimization? What methods are you using to understand what users actually want?
The point is that in my opinion gud SEO articles does not seem like SEO articles. Firstly , i analyzes what people really ask in forums or comments and then I write the article based on these questions not just a single keyword.

Definitely I think checking the top ranking pages and the questions people ask is one of the easiest ways to understand the intent before writing

as per my advice write for the user is such an overused phrase that it seems pretty empty at this point. i could actually suggest writing for the solution first and if the page solves the problem faster than the competing pages SEO will generally bevcomes easier.
