Hi, I have been working on improving my titles and meta descriptions to get more clicks from Google Search. I am getting a better CTR now, but I'm not sure if that actually helps rankings over time or if it's just increasing traffic. Has anyone here noticed rankings improve after increasing CTR, or is it mostly unrelated? I'd like to hear some real experiences.

Improving your CTR is great for bringing in more visitors, but it does not automatically lead to higher rankings. What matters is what users do after they click. If your content keeps them engaged and satisfies their search intent, it can contribute to stronger overall SEO performance over time.

Yes, it can help with ranking. It is the sign google sees that people find your content useful. So improving your titles and description is best for your website.

Improving your CTR can positively influence your rankings because a higher click-through rate tells search engines that your page is highly relevant to that specific query. However, the ranking boost only sticks if you also have a strong dwell time and low bounce rate to back it up. If users click through but immediately hit the back button, your rankings will eventually drop despite the initial CTR jump.

In my experience, higher CTR definitely improves your rankings over time. When Google sees more people choosing your site over others, they push your link higher up.

CTR alone won't help much. I have several webpages in 2nd page of search results that get almost 100% CTR but they always stay in 2nd page. But when combined with other strategies, CTR can boost your rankings.

Yes, it is directly related. Every time I improve a title and get more clicks, my keyword position slowly climbs over the next few weeks.

The thing is, that if your page is out of top 3, there is almost no sense in changing your meta, nobody will see it. But if you have these kind of positions, Id rather not touch it. You know, there is a saying "Do not touch whats already working."

I noticed better CTR brings more clicks, but rankings improved only when the content also matched user intent. Better titles help, but useful content still makes the biggest difference.

In my experience, improving CTR alone does not improve rankings. A better title and meta description can definitely get more people to click on your page, but that is only the first step.
If your content actually answers the user's question and gives them the information they are looking for, then you are more likely to see better rankings over time.
I think that's what Google focuses on much more now.

A higher CTR is always a positive sign. I just don't think it's enough by itself to make a big difference in rankings.
I treat CTR as a way to get more value from my existing rankings. Even if my position stays the same, getting more clicks is still a win.

Improving CTR can help a bit but it's not a strong ranking factor on its own real gains come when better CTR also means better user satisfaction

Higher CTR definitely is an indicator of something positive, but just because of higher CTR, there is no magic formla for higher rankings. From my experience, this works best where the page is engaging the user
