Hi,
Curious where people here are putting most of their budget and attention this year.
Google is getting expensive. Meta is unpredictable. TikTok is growing but creative demand is high. Bing is cheap but low volume.
Feels like the PPC landscape has shifted a lot in the last 2 years.

Where are you putting your focus this year and why? Has your answer changed from last year?

Been moving a decent chunk of budget into native ads like Taboola this year, mostly because Google search is just getting way too expensive for the margins we run. @Black_digtal205 you are right about the TikTok creative fatigue... its a nightmare to keep up. we ended up automating a lot of the video creation using AI templates just to keep fresh hooks running, otherwise campaigns die in three days. still keeping some budget on Meta but it is mostly retargeting now since cold traffic costs are all over the place lately.

honestly my answer flipped this year. used to be all in on google search but the cpc creep killed the math for us on anything competitive. shifted more into youtube and some reddit ads of all things, reddit volume is small but the intent is weirdly good if you nail the subreddit targeting.

the native stuff works but watch your placements like a hawk, taboola will dump you on garbage sites that eat budget if you dont blacklist aggressively early on. took us a few weeks to get the exclusion list right.

one thing nobody really mentions... the channel matters less than how fast you can refresh creative now. tiktok just exposes that problem faster than the rest. we stopped thinking about it as a tiktok problem and more as a "our creative pipeline is too slow" problem and that changed how we budget. spreading across 4 platforms with stale ads is worse than going deep on 2 with fresh angles imo.

bing still cheap, still low volume, still worth scooping up just for the cheap conversions even if it never scales.

we actually started moving a decent chunk into pinterest ads last quarter. cpcs are still way lower than meta and the buyer intent is actually there if you run ecom or certain lead gen niches.

@BidNomad is right about the creative pipeline though. we stopped trying to make polished stuff... now we just scrape winning tiktok hooks, rewrite them slightly, and use cheap voiceovers to spam 20 variations a day. if you arent testing multiple angles daily on meta or tiktok now you are just donating money to zuck.

also for native... if you do go that route try out outbrain instead of taboola. found their traffic slightly cleaner but yeah the blacklist is still a full time job.

Right now I’m leaning more towards Google for intent traffic and TikTok for scaling creatives, but honestly I’m testing multiple platforms because none of them are fully stable like before.

we actually pulled back on native recently because the click fraud was just eating us alive, even with a massive exclusion list. ended up going back to meta but changed the setup... we are running almost everything through aggressive pre-landers now to filter the junk traffic. the meta volatility is brutal but using cost caps has saved us from losing our shirts on the bad days. also if you are doing tiktok or meta, the creative stuff is true but you can cheat a bit by just ripping winning angles from other geos and translating them. saves a ton of time on the pipeline.

we ended up moving a lot of focus to the lander side of things because trying to outsmart the ad networks is just a losing battle now. if the funnel can't handle high cpcs we just don't run the offer. been doing a lot of quiz landers and advertorials to bump the average order value, otherwise meta just eats the margin.

on the search side google is still our main driver but phrase match is basically dead to us... it behaves like broad match now and just wastes budget on junk search terms. we only run tight exact match or go full broad with heavy negative lists on smart bidding, nothing in between.

for creative fatigue, stop trying to make high production stuff. we just use spy tools to see what is trending in other niches, rewrite the angles for our offers, and get cheap ugc creators to film it. it is a grind but that is just the cost of doing business now.

Still mostly on Google, but slowly moving more budget to Bing coz CPC is better for me.

I prefer native ads like taboola and outbrain. google feels now too expensive, so I use a good tracker to block the junk traffic and only keep the publisher ID that actually convert, It is giving bet ROI this year.

Compared to last year, I am focusing less on scaling one platform and more on diversifying. Every platform feels less predictable now, so splitting risk works better.

Hi.
It seems that Google has really tightened the screws, so it's getting very expensive, but it still works very well. I would also look into AI-powered advertising. It could be a powerful new source of traffic.

Google Performance Max is still where most of my budget goes, but I am pairing it with YouTube Ads for cheaper reach. Last year I just let the AI run alone, but this year I am manually feeding it much better audience data.

I dont stick to one platform anymore, depends on the niche. Google still works, Bing is underrated for cheaper traffic, and TikTok only if you got good creatives ready.

It depends on your specific niche, although there are many platforms available today, committing to all of them could consume a great deal of time and energy. I believe google ads still holds very position in PPC ads, we can optimize the ad content to lower the bid :)

I am still putting most of my budget into Google because the intent is stronger. It is expensive, but the quality of traffic is usually better for my niche.

Shifting to Microsoft Ads. Google is overcrowded. Bing is the best place for cheap professional clicks this year because there is less competition, cutting lead costs in half.

Try narrowing your content topic instead of targeting everyone. A specific audience is often easier to grow than a broad one.

Yeah @Fluxify has the right idea with the pre-landers. If you are running cold traffic on Meta or TikTok without a solid bridge page or quiz to filter out the junk, you are basically just donating money to those platforms. The click quality has gone down so much lately because they are trying to inflate their numbers.

Honestly, instead of chasing new platforms like Pinterest or Reddit which can be super hit or miss depending on the vertical, doubling down on lander optimization and tighter tracking is usually the better move. If your lander converts at 4% instead of 1.5%, Google being expensive suddenly doesnt matter as much.

And for the creative fatigue on TikTok... just use AI to swap the first 3 seconds of your winning videos. You dont need to shoot whole new ads every week, just change the hook and the music. Saves a lot of headache.
