I’ve been seeing more and more people saying Google Ads is “dead”, “too expensive”, “only works for big brands”, etc.
But at the same time, I still see accounts printing money daily.
So what’s the truth?
Is:
Google squeezing margins with smart bidding?
Competition too high now?
Or most people just don’t understand intent traffic?
Be honest — are you actually profitable with Google Ads in 2026?

ROAS if you’re willing to share
Let’s see who’s really making money and who’s coping

No one is revealing the tricks so they just say google ads is bad or etc. Google ads is good if you have at least $2k/month to spend .

Running bh things on google is damn expensive but it converts real good.

Google is not dying, it just has a very high entry barrier. To properly learn how to work with it, you may need to invest up to a year. Many people are simply not able to overcome this barrier. I had a mobile application and I spent a lot of money and time testing ads in Google Ads. However, after about six months, I found my own approaches and the advertising finally started to perform as it should.

I'm still successfully running gambling ads for many clients, including casinos and affiliates, some of them spending millions per month. It definitely still works.

smart bidding changed the game you need solid data or google burns your budget fast.

Drop:
Your niche - iGaming
Search or Display? - Search
Avg CPC - around $20 in Tier 1 - around $1.5 in Tier 3
ROAS - depends, but around 2

What you should ask is how many accounts I burn each month to keep alive; that's the key to BH Google Ads.
Good luck!

Google Ads isn't dead, to be honest. It all depends on your approach and how well you know your audience. If you don't target intent-driven traffic effectively, your margins may get tight. But with the right technique, even tiny accounts may make money. To see genuine results, you need to focus on testing campaigns, constantly improving them, and keeping an eye on CPC vs. ROAS.

Google will not die, it is an excellent source of traffic. But the fact that it is becoming difficult in some verticals is undeniable.

it’s just harder now. smart bidding works if you have data, but most people fail because their landing pages suck. still profitable in lead gen with 3x roas.

maybe google just harder now, i think most guys just dont test enough creatives and cry about cpc.

Even though AI-powered recommendations are already impacting search ads performance, Google is definitely not going to die, It just means traffic may become more expensive compared to other platforms like meta and tiktok
In any case, I’m still optimistic about Google :)

Costs are definitely higher than before, especially in competitive niches, but smart bidding still works if you give it enough clean conversion data.

People say Google Ads is dead since many years. Its significantly more difficult now, yes, but not dead. Far from it.

I'm managing to run gambling ads on google for example, i don't know about other niches such as crypto, nutra etc, but gambling works fine.

Google Ads is not dead, but it’s harder now and you need better targeting, tracking and offers to stay profitable.

Definitely not dead, but the platform is evolving rapidly, Google now leans more toward automation (say hello to your new friends: smart bidding + broad match + RSA)
