This question applies to Instagram, Tiktok and YouTube shorts. For those who have experiencing working in this space. If you want your content to reach US audience, is a must to use a proxy or something like that?

Or I can just start posting content naturally from the device?

I intend doing some organic promo on these short form content platform but not from the US, UK, Ca or Au. Wouldn't want my content to not reach the right audience.

no, just post from your device and let the algorithm find your audience naturally
Does this work across all three platforms?

there was a time it was trendy to use proxies to warm up accounts and stuff

You don’t really need a proxy to reach a US audience on IG, TikTok, or YouTube Shorts. These platforms mostly push content based on engagement signals, not just where the account was created. What matters more is the type of content you post, captions, hashtags, and even posting times aligned with US hours.

No, you don't need a proxy. Just post good content. The language and content matter more than where you're posting from.

I remember TikTok was hard to push content outside the GEO the content was posted from. Did it change?

Exactly, this is what I remember that prompted me to ask.

For Instagram its not compulory at all, We have managed accounts from India, UK, AU etc and targeted 60-70% US Audience. From my Personal Experience, What I can say is that the content matters, Post that content which that Geo wants.

When you manage accounts, do you always use a phone. Or this can be done on a computer?

We use Android Smartphones with Sim Cards only, Everything is managed from them. Never used computers or Anti-Detect Browsers.

Using proxies or VPNs is not mandatory. Using these programs can even be detrimental, reducing channel performance due to algorithms detecting unusual IP addresses. You can absolutely upload directly from your device, but you need to optimize your content to target a US audience.

I think when you log in and set up your account, it already has your geographic location and reach pre-defined. You can post on mobile devices, and your posts will be randomly distributed to your regular customer base first, and then. If your content is good, it will be recommended and distributed more widely, just like on any platform.

You don't need to use proxies or location spoofing software. The algorithms of Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts distribute content based on language cues, video topics, and interaction behavior, completely independent of IP address or country of upload. Just upload naturally, my friend.

That is unnecessary. Focus instead on your content, creativity, and target audience—that is what truly matters.

From what I've seen, it's not necessarily required. The content itself, the language, and how your audience engages with it generally have a much bigger impact than where you're posting from. If your goal is to reach a US audience organically, I'd focus on creating content that appeals to that audience and posting consistently rather than assuming a proxy is the deciding factor.
