linkedln is one of the most powerful platforms for networking , personal branding and career growth , but many people still don't get the results they expect . some stay inactive, some post withouot a clear strategy ,and other focus only on selling instead of building connections

what do you think is the biggest mistake people make on linkedln?

I think the biggest mistake is only posting to sell. People follow real people, not ads. Sharing useful ideas, staying active, and replying to others builds better trust over time.

For me, its being inactive for weeks and then suddenly expecting results. It seems like linkedin rewards people who show up consistently.

i think most people just use linkedin the wrong way, they either dont post at all or only post about themselves and expect results. In my opinion,it works better when you actually interact with others and build connections.

It appear that what people tend to do wrong is try too hard to be profesional. corporate giberish posts do not realy catch any eye. people who succeded in this sphere know this from their own experience.

honestly the thing nobody talks about is the connection spam. people mass add 500 randoms with no note then wonder why nothing happens. its not a numbers game, a smaller network that actually knows who you are beats 10k dead connections every time.

but yeah the "too corporate" point is real too. the posts that do well for me are the ones that sound like i actually talked to a human, not like a press release. little bit of personality goes further than polished.

one more thing... consistency matters but people take it too far and just post daily filler with nothing to say. showing up is good, showing up with noise isnt. id rather see someone post twice a week with something worth reading than every day just to feed the algorithm.

and the commenting thing is underrated. genuinely replying on other peoples stuff (not the "great post!" garbage) gets you in front of their audience without you having to post at all. thats where most of my early traction came from tbh.

linkedln is really depend con interact rate of u. so dont freeze the account and actively use it and interact with connections every single day bro

I think treating linkedin as a sales platform instead of networking platform. People start promoting their services instead of building trust and having real conversations first.

The biggest mistake people make on LinkedIn is focusing too much on selling instead of building genuine relationships. When you consistently share value, engage with others, and build trust, better opportunities and long-term results naturally follow.

A common mistake is trying to go viral instead of building relationships. LinkedIn rewards connections, not just reach.

The biggest mistake people make is viewing LinkedIn as nothing more than an online sales page You should share valuable information and engage in conversation connections will follow

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make is focusing too much on posting frequently instead of prioritizing the quality and relevance of their content.

The worst blunder made by people is to use LinkedIn as their sales page. Constantly posting useful content and networking with people can give them much more success than always selling through posts

I think the biggest mistake is using LinkedIn only to sell. Sharing useful content engaging with others and building genuine relationships usually brings much better long term results. People forget it's a networking platform first.

Biggest mistake is treating LinkedIn like a job board instead of a relationship platform. Without conversations and networking visibility and opportunities rarely come. People either stay inactive or post only self promotion without consistent value or engagement.

The biggest mistake people make on linkedin is not making the correct connection. Many people are desparate to sell their their service instead of making a strong networking which will lead them to succeed genuinely.

This. But, not everyone is using linkedin for business. Most I know use it for getting placements. Like jobs.

I think the biggest mistake is treating linkedin like a sales platform from day one. People send pitches before building any credibility or relationships. Sharing useful insights consistently and interacting with others usually works much better than trying to sell in every post.
