Nice of you to offer this for free, not alot of people with that much experiance do AMAs. Question: whats the biggest change you've seen in Quality Score algo over the years? Curious if old optimisation tricks still aply.

Previously people were alot concern for quality score now a days they dont bother much. Also smart bidding also plays a good role.

Hi, first of all, thanks for taking the time to share this thread with the BHW community.

I have a few questions.

I'm in the white hat space, and I only sell through Google Shopping. I sell a type of home décor product.

In your opinion, should I run a feed-only Performance Max campaign using Maximize Conversion Value, or a Standard Shopping campaign? And with roughly how many products?

Right now, I'm seeing an average CPC of around $0.80 with a feed-only PMax campaign using Maximize Conversion Value.

Also, I believe Google has recently added the ability to use Maximize Conversion Value bidding for Standard Shopping campaigns. I used to avoid Standard Shopping because Manual CPC or Maximize Clicks with a CPC cap never seemed to perform as well as a fully AI-driven bidding strategy.

My current setup is:
  • Feed-only Performance Max campaign with 120 products, priced between €89 and €499, with most products in the €120–190 range.
  • Standard Shopping campaign using Maximize Conversion Value, with the same 120 products and the same price range.
I've also tested campaigns with 20, 40, and 60 products. From my experience, the quality of the search terms starts becoming much better once I have around 60 products in the feed. Below that, Google tends to spend most of the budget on very broad, generic keywords.

How long would you let a campaign run before starting to optimize it?

And on average, how many keywords/search terms would you exclude each day?

I want to run a real estate campaign ad that would convert, how do I go about that.? Are you on tg, let’s talk

Hey, trying to run some mVAS campaigns on mexico with Demand Gen but cpas are going trough the roof, any ideas to lower cpas, already saw the maximize clicks tip. Got some difficulties also on campaigns with tCPA that cpa fluctuates every day. Thank you!

mVAS on Demand Gen can be pretty volatile, especially in GEOs like Mexico where traffic quality changes a lot day to day.

Maximising clicks and conversions bidding always work best

Also try splitting audience and see if that works

And how often are u refereshing your creatives?

Also are u excluding poor placements?
