I have been working with indian clients; (the not so good ones when it comes to payments). I have lately been into situation where the client after work is done try to ran away when payments need to be done. last month the amount was around 6L+; Although I tried taking 100% advances but some of these there are a few who pay just a small amount or stretch it the whole month and then abscond.
Funny part is all this happens after the sow email approvals and other things are done.

Can someone please suggest that do i have any options here or i should just move on?

Avoid such people. If possible, work with advance payment, then there is no chance of you losing

Sure. Have started doing that. For the stuck payments? Should i spend time on that or move on? what you suggest?

It is sad to say that but move on. Next time, always take the full upfront
I know the feeling

sadly there is nothing to do

:/ Cool! Thanks. I also feel putting energies with someone with wrong intentions is time waste. Thanks again!

This could have been done by anyone
You will need advertise more ,so you can have more people or businesses to charge 70% upfront

Even when working with Fortune 500 companies, I require half payment upfront before starting the work. I've been stiffed by major US-based corporations before, so this isn't a culture/nationality thing.

If they don't want to give you an upfront payment, escrow is another possibility.

The moment your client says "bro, sir, mam, dear"...RUN
Its usally 'sir' hahaha. And to be fair, different scammers from different regions say dear. As well as the others, but yeah point taken haha.

I think moving forward it's better to ask for some advance payment and have a simple contract before starting the work. For bigger projects, you can also ask for payment after each milestone. If a client doesn't agree to that, it's usually a red flag.
