Hey everyone,

I have a liquid budget of $5,000 that I want to deploy into building a sustainable online business. My ultimate goal is to generate steady monthly recurring revenue (MRR).

I’ve been doing some research and these are the three main directions I'm currently considering:

  1. Micro-SaaS: Building and launching a simple automation tool or Micro-SaaS, then scaling it via a BHW Marketplace BST later.
  2. Productized Service: Re-investing into a productized service (SEO, Content, or Link Building) where I completely own the infrastructure.
  3. Micro-Niche Sites: Buying an established, under-optimized micro-niche site to renovate, optimize, and scale.
Important Note: I am strictly looking for public advice, strategies, and discussion. Please do not PM me with offers or joint venture proposals, as I am not looking to hire or partner up right now.

For those who have successfully scaled a similar budget, which of these models offers the most realistic and stable monthly return in today's landscape?

Would love to hear your insights and experiences!

I don't know about the micro-SaaS as I think $5,000 might be a little less for building and growing a micro-SaaS.

The productized service is really good especially if you can run Fiverr ads. I saw a BHW thread where the guy ran Fiverr ads which cost a few dollars but he made an insane ROI as he got 2 orders on his gig.

productized service
Just like the first response, I will ask you to choose the second alternative you listed. Productized service is best for that kind of capital you have. However, you can still try saas, AI has made everything cheap and easy, so you might have a shot.
