Hi guys,
I'm thinking about testing a new traffic source and would like to hear from people who have experience with both Google Ads and Yandex Ads.
Which platform is performing better for you in 2026 in terms of:
  • CPC
  • Conversion rate
  • Lead quality
  • ROI
  • Scaling potential
I've used Google Ads before, but I haven't tested Yandex Ads yet. I've heard Yandex can be cheaper in some GEOs, but I'm not sure if the traffic quality is comparable to Google.

For those who have run campaigns on both platforms recently, which one would you recommend and why?
Would appreciate any real-world results, case studies, or tips. Thanks!

I would test both with a small budget and not rely on general opinions. Google usually has a larger audience and easier scaling, Yandex can sometimes provide some cheaper clicks in some GEOs.

google has better quality leads globally but yandex is way cheaper if u target cis or specific geos, just watch out for bot traffic on yan network.

Google Ads still delivers the best overall results in 2026 due to its massive reach and advanced targeting options. Yandex Ads performs better in Russia and some CIS countries, often offering lower CPCs and less competition.

If your target market is strong in Yandex regions, it is definitely worth testing. CPC can be lower, but I still use Google as the benchmark for lead quality.

The cpc and geo stuff everyone mentioned is true but the bigger difference for me was moderation
Yandex Direct is way more strict about site content matching the ad exactly, and they check things like having a real privacy policy page, working contact info, site age sometimes. google moderation feels more automated and inconsistent, yandex actually has people reviewing stuff manually in my experience
If your landing page setup is sloppy youll get rejected on yandex way more than on google, worth fixing that before testing budget there

Google Ads still gives better lead quality overall, Yandex is cheaper but not consistent in most niches.

From my experience Google Ads is more expensive but conversions are much cleaner. Yandex CPC is low but lead quality drops in many cases, so you end up filtering more junk leads.

i tested both, google ads gives more stable high quality traffic but yandex can be cheaper in some geo’s, overall google still wins in roi and scaling for me.

My experience was that Google scaled much better. Yandex produced decent results at lower spend, but performance became inconsistent once I increased the budget.

Google Ads is harder to set up, but once it works, it is more stable and easier to scale over time.

In my experience, Google Ads is still the main platform for serious performance marketing, while Yandex is more of a budget or regional testing option.

Google is smarter at finding people who want to buy right now. Yandex can make you money, but you have to do a lot more manual work to fix and clean your ads.

Google's smart bidding algorithms are far superior at finding high converting leads automatically. Yandex requires a lot more manual tweaking, negative keywords, and close daily monitoring to keep your ROI stable.

Watch out for bots on Yandex. While Yandex Search traffic is high quality, its display network has a lot of fraud. Start with Search ads only and turn off display.

Google still works better for me overall, but Yandex can be cheaper in some GEOs if your target audience is there.

If your target market uses Yandex a lot, it's definitely worth trying. Just do not expect the same volume as Google.

For me it really depends on the GEO. Google is still my first choice because of bigger reach and more stable results. Yandex can work well in markets where its popular and sometimes clicks are cheaper, but I wouldnt expect the same volume. Best way is to run a small test budget on both and compare real data.
