Everyone experiments with different strategies, and not all of them work out as expected.
Looking back, what's one SEO mistake that taught you the most, and what would you recommend newcomers avoid?

I focused too much on backlinks and ignored content quality, big mistake, good content makes everyhting much easy.

Too many links. I want to say focussing on number of links is bad. Quality of links should be priority.

Buying cheap expired domains without checking their clean history and anchor profile completely destroyed my network rankings overnight.

My first error when I began was trying to use linking to force my ranking when the page was not worthy of ranking yet. I get the results immediately, but everything drops off bcz the signals are inconsistent.
I now see my content as the foundation, then build the links once I have traction on it. This is a much slower process but works in real .
