You make to make your content strong to engage with mass traffic.In today's world,getting organic reach is very hard.You have to hire influencers or models to get enough organic reach.Running ads is fair enough to get more engagement.

If the page has an existing organic audience and the post is encouraging users to share in order to win, I say its still powerful
 
Not at all, but much less than before; now engaging content and active communities play an essential role.
 
I think organic reach is not dead but but hard as instagram is more flexible than fb
 
It's not exactly dead, but you're only going to get any kind of reach from niche groups and Reels.
 
what I would suggest is trying out a combination of text posts, Reels, and images, and then going all in on whatever continues to do well in regards to performance.

From what I've seen, Reels are still one of the strongest formats for organic reach.

you should leverage short, controversial, or highly relatable text questions to boost comment velocity, which forces meta to push your page to non-followers. for visual content, convert your ideas into 9:16 reels with strong hooks in the first 3 seconds, as short-form video remains the primary driver for broad organic discovery this year
 
great observation.i have seen the same happening in some test pages as well.shorter text articles tend to attract more discussion since it takes lesser time to read and respond to them.At times they also end up generating better traffic.

I feel like they are purposely suppressing people’s engagement so you can spend on ads
 
wouldn’t call it dead, just way more picky now lol. funny how a simple text post can beat something you spent 20 mins designing
 
I wouldn’t say organic reach is dead. It’s definitely harder than before, but good content can still get reach without ads. Reels, shares, and genuine engagement seem to matter more now.
 
yep i think you can try more short text posts with strong hooks and simple questions and since they are already working better for you so also focus more on them and keep testing them.
 
Short text posts seem to get better interaction for some niches, but I think it really depends on the audience. Testing different hooks and formats consistently would probably be the best approach in 2026
