You could do the chatting yourself and you can't really do ai ofm. if you mean hybrid then probably yes, but ai you can only really do on fanvue and there you already have an ai bot that gives you text suggestions so it’s pretty simple

@slower do the first chats yourself, you kinda need to learn what makes them buy before handing it to anyone anyway. Use Claude/ChatGPT for rewrites, not full auto... make a small swipe file with openers, soft upsell, hard upsell, reactivation, and “no money” replies. Biggest thing is notes on each fan and not sounding like a bot, scripts alone won’t save a dead convo. Commission chatter only becomes easy when there is traffic or proof of buyers, otherwise most decent ones wont bother.

Why don't you do the chatting by yourself? Also yes people hire chatters on a commission basis.

Do the first chats yourself before you automate anything, you can't script what you haven't learned makes a fan buy. Keep AI for rewrites and tone, not full auto; a flat bot reply kills a warm chat faster than a slow one. Build a small swipe file, openers, soft upsell, hard upsell, reactivation, and a clean "no money right now" path, then keep short notes on each fan so every reply sounds like you actually remember them.
Honestly though, chatting isn't your first problem if you're broke and just starting. Perfect scripts on an empty inbox earn nothing. The real lever early is traffic, getting the right people in front of the page at all. Sort that first, keep the chat human, and the scripts basically write themselves once you can see what real buyers respond to.
