Business Model Advice

with $5-6k i’d avoid putting most of it into inventory right away. i’d pick one narrow niche, spend small on traffic tests first, then only scale the channel that shows real buyer intent.

I definitely don't think it's a good idea to put your entire budget into inventory. I 100% agree with you.

But if you had to choose a specific business model, which one would you consider with that budget?

With your background in marketing and sales I would probably lean toward affiliate marketing or ecommerce with a narrow niche Both can scale without depending on managing other people Success comes from consistent testing rather than trying to find the perfect business model first

With a sales background and $5k, look at buying a small existing asset — a content site, a simple SaaS, or an FBA brand on a marketplace. Skip the build phase, take over something that already cashflows, and use your marketing skills to scale it past what the seller could do.

That's an interesting tip thanks for the info mate

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for ideas on what online business is worth getting into with a budget of around $5–6k

I have experience in both marketing and sales. Previously, I was involved in OFM, but I've noticed that many people are moving away from it.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was dealing with unmotivated models, which made it difficult to scale the business consistently.

Right now, I'm looking for a new online opportunity. I'm not interested in AI agencies or SaaS businesses, as I believe those markets are heavily saturated and often overhyped.

I've been considering:
  • E-commerce
  • Affiliate marketing
  • Other online business models
I'd love to hear from people who are already operating at a significant level in these industries. What business models do you think have the most potential right now?
What would you focus on if you were starting today with a similar budget and background?

Any insights, experiences, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
I wouldn't focus too much on the amount of money you have. Instead, use it to test different business ideas that genuinely interest you. If one of them starts working, you can invest the remaining budget into scaling that proven idea. The more quality tests you run, the higher your chances of building a profitable business. Treat it as a numbers game.

I’m doing this business for more than 2 years. I’m more focused on an adult business, some kind of OF business using AI girls. So Affiliate marketing, promoting brands and businesses are side hustle for me.
Adult business with ai is it profitable

Exactly. The key is finding something that's already working but under-marketed. A lot of site owners are good at building but bad at selling — that's where the opportunity is.

In that case what would you recommend?

If I had $5–6k and a background in marketing and sales, I’d focus on a niche service business or lead generation rather than e-commerce. It leverages your existing skills, requires relatively low startup capital, and can generate revenue faster than most affiliate or e-commerce models.

Hi. Since you have money to invest you can focus on Affiliate Marketing.
I’m talking about the promoting idea because nowadays the traffic (the right one) is crucial.
My strategy for short is:
1. Find AI creators on social media - AI girls that are involved in some kind of OFM business.
2. Talk with them and ask them to promote your Affiliate business in this way you’ll get traffic. - You’ve to see their analytics to check everything related to their audience.
You’ve to adapt your AM strategy to their audience based on: Demographics, Age, Gender. Basically these will define your promoted products.
3. You’ll have 2 options to pay them: 1. A monthly wage; 2. A commission.
Since there are a lot of AI creators who are not using Affiliate Marketing it’s easy to make a good deal for you.
4. When you are trying to find an AI influencer just make sure that you’re checking the post history and Account history to see when the account has been created and from which period they started to post on the account. - this is because AI influencers accounts are getting disabled pretty quickly if the creators cannot overpass the social media ban waves. Why to do this? Because you’ll need a good source of traffic for a long time, not only for one or a couple of months.
From my point of view this is the easiest and cheapest strategy to get traffic.

I’m using affiliate marketing in my business, I have 5 AI girls. It’s a good business but I’m using it as a second source of income after adult business.
I didn’t promoted for others and I don’t want to do it since I’m working by myself.
To be honest, I thought about that too, but since the vast majority of people running AI-related pages are already familiar with this kind of thing, I think that if they wanted to do this, they’d be able to find their own affiliate links anyway. For that reason, I’m not sure if it would work, but there’s no harm in trying.

Not really. There are a lot of people who are not using AM, they are just using Fanvue.
If you’re running an AI girl the best way to monetize is to sell content, PPVs.
So they’re not focusing on AM.

Now, in some situations (depending on the niche that they are using for their AI girls) you can use AM as well. For eg. an AI girl that is in the fitness niche can use AM for a lot of things. The point is to check the audience. If their audience is crafted 80% around men you cannot include women fitness clothes. It’s a little bit tricky so you’ve to act clever.
