Hi guys,
Recently I noticed a few competitors in my niche were ranking much better than me, even though my content was longer in some cases. So I thought maybe I was missing something in structure or formatting.
I started updating some of my posts by following what top-ranking competitors were doing things like headings, layout, FAQs, shorter paragraphs, and covering similar points. I did not copy content, just tried to improve mine based on what seemed to work for them.
But after updating, a few of those posts actually started losing rankings insteed of improving. Now I m wondering if I changed too much or accidentelly over-optimized things.
Has anyone face something similar? Did rankings recover after some time, or did you have to revert changes?
